Your friend made sure to only kill you with the gun (no punching, no explosives)?
Did you inflict one bodyshot on your friend prior to letting 'em kill you?—some people believe this helps.

One strategy I use is to kill a zombie isolated from the rest, camouflage myself with its blood, and then kill all the remaining zombies with a rear-naked finishing move.

This way I don't waste ammunition or weapon durability, and I can easily kill hordes of zombies. Then it's just a matter of controlling how long the camouflage lasts so I can camouflage myself again with a dead zombie.

2. Keep sleeping until a 4k-damage (14k with max Legend) shotgun shows up in the store.
3. Buy it.

Basically, strong guns stop spawning once your Power exceeds a certain level.

Farming Stuffed Turtle quarantine zone is the quickest and easiest way.

Here on the map. It is one of the quarantine zones. They are repeatable and it has the disaster relief packages in it.

To farm it, you go in and grab the first three packages in the first room then leave. Rinse and repeat.

In the main menu, you can reach a mode called "Be the Zombie". It'll let you join other sessions as a fast, mobile, player-controlled super-volatile zombie, which'll turn the session into a PvP match until either of you wins (or leaves).

After taking the sword wait until the corpse start burning by itself for a few seconds after the corpse disappears you’ll find the blueprint

1. Connection issues between you and other players in your session can cause massive FPS stuttering.

2. Make sure you aren't overheating. Gaming laptops overheat very easily. I undervolt my CPU to decrease temps. It's better. You now have quick-select bindings to pick your exact weapon slot (no wheel required). You can increase your FOV by a lot.

If you persist in using controller, you now at least have Steam's controller configurator, which is straight fire. Could try to implement gyro + flickstick.

There are reports that only the person who doesn’t host can get it, so try again but have your friend host and have him/her let you win. If that doesn’t work try uninstalling the bozak dlc by itself then reinstalling it

Not really. Most of them are better to do late game because of levels.

The higher your survivor/legend level, the better damage melee weapons you can get.

Explore as much as you can, and don't try to fight everything.

Honestly don't be afraid of the night. I love this game but i think that the airdrop mission doesn't really show how the night functions (at least in my case) where you just get chased immediately by volatiles. The night time plays much more like payday 2 stealth where volatiles have a cone of vision you can see on your map. To complement that id recommend unlocking safe houses since if you get spotted by a volatile you can stop the chase by entering a safehouse.

If you know to stay outside of the volatile cone of sight, you will be good.

Prison and Bozak are the best places for gold tier weapons. If you are early game, then do the quarantine zones for the GRE chests, they have decent stuff early game.
