It is a nice tutorial. It doesn't seem to cover instant tackles after getting dropkicked, though. I've accidentally insta-tackled a few times after I was dropkicked, but I usually fail to do it.

You can def insta-tackle if someone [evades your tackle]/[interrupts your pounce] and another person is right in front of where you landed—just keep W + sprint + E held down.

Sprint doesn't hold? You can hold down the sprint button 24/7 and you will always be in sprint mode whenever you are moving across the ground.

It fortunately isn't toggle-only.

Yeah, I was unaware of that fact for a while. It really helped me. If you were on PC, you could even use third-party stuff to provide auto-sprint functionality. For instance, controller users can use SteamInput to just ensure sprint is always held down during movement.

That aside, joystick click sounds uncomfortable for sprint. I have a controller with remappable extra buttons (it's got Xbox mode and Nintendo Switch mode). I mapped the left rear button to left-stick click and the right rear button to crouch.

The shotguns with 14k you can obtain from checking shopkeepers while you have 25 survival skill and low power level like 2. When you level up power, the shopkeepers shotguns move down to like 8.9k for some reason

I think you gotta do all the other escorting missions first, I could be wrong. Then there's a blue shield at a gas station north of Rais garrison sometimes, that's pretty easy. If you don't see it, circle around the block or sleep to next day, or both

I don't remember where Rais's garrison is, but there is definitely a chance of some blue-shield person spawning in one of the train cars, in the Slums.

I thought the unarmed skill in legend levels was meant to be like, you know, a joke, kind of. But after upgrading it, it's unreasonably good. Even at just level 3, which is the amount of legend levels I have, I got the game recently. It still one-shots normal zombies and virals if I hit them in the head. It has no durability. I mean, it's just crazy.

Yeah, humans can kill night hunters very fast—especially in 1v1, since less people means less damage resistance. Someone gave me this table recently (dmg against the night hunter, one hit from a melee weapon):
1h dmg 2h dmg
1P - 60 1P - 120
2P - 48 2P - 96
3P -37.5 3P - 75
4P- 30 4P -70

when is shoot anti UV they instantly take flare
Oh, right. If quick, they must be looking behind themselves then throwing the flare—makes it come out way faster. A nice thing to do is to quickly GP them to either cancel that throw or destroy their flare, if you're close enough, then you can pounce. Sometimes, I pounce them even before the spit has detonated (of course, they interrupt it) just to close the distance, then I perform the aforementioned GP. Depending on the environment, they won't be able to avoid it.

Yeah, some people are really proficient at interrupting pounces. Gotta catch them as they climb or try to avoid bombers, usually.

Though, I suspect there's a scenario in which you can get a guaranteed pounce on a non-UV-suppressed person: if some person P is knocked down due to being in close proximity to an explosion (or to someone else getting tackled), then you pounce P, it seems P will not be able to use UV flashlight to interrupt the pounce.

I see. If you can mash some specific button fast enough while you are latched on to the buggy, the hunter will smash it—seemingly dealing about 40-ish% damage to everyone inside. Really hard to do it fast enough, though.

Something like that is possible, yeah, but, like, I keep failing to do it.

Presently, I can only consistently instant-tackle in two situations:

• I tackle someone into a wall very close to me. Subsequently, I do not press any movement keys at all (not even sprint)—I just hold E and look at them. 'Nother tackle ensues.
• Someone interrupts my pounce or evades my tackle, I get propelled in front of another person. I keep W + [Sprint] + E held down. Another tackle will be initiated very quickly even though I have stopped moving.

I have done the instant tackle after a dropkick a total of 2-3 times at this point, all accidentally... There is something about the required input sequence I'm unaware of.

There are actually ways to fight water campers.
Pounce also doesnt work in Water
You can pounce when you are in water (just press pounce while underwater-tendriling), but you cannot pounce a human unless they are in a non-swimming animation. You have to get them out of that animation somehow. If they're so much as reviving someone who is dead in the water, you can def underwater-pounce them. Even from ground, you can definitely tackle people who are in water if they are close to a ledge.

Sorry was eating. The v9 defender reduces fall damage, and increases the height you can fall before dying. Not much, but it helps along with the fall roll from agility skill

After losing in the prison DLC so many times before I went to the, you know, following DLC, right? On my first playthrough? Uh, I did the- I tried the prison, didn't work. Getting the ranger revolver and the spray paint SMG helps because more ammo better, more damage better. But that was booty. I cut over four hours off my time because, well... The first time I went through, I was dying over and over, I was not prepared, right? Crazy, I know, four hours is a lot, right? I make it to the end in 20 minutes. And I get some stupid worthless reward, a bunch of lockpicks, I can't lockpick because I forgot to pick up lockpicks. Now I know why there's so many lockpick lootables in the prison, right? And I have like one minute to grab some mediocre loot. I didn't even make it back to ammo I spent.

please tell me what to do. I'm on track to getting one, but I can't figure out what to do. All I can find is that they have some sort of special effect when you decapitate people.

I've had some interesting matches in which I am the night hunter and it looks like the humans are winning, soo I go "y'know what? I'm going to lose. I might as well just start spamming and doing the riskiest shit ever for fun", and it turns out the humans cannot handle it—they proceed to get wiped out multiple times and they ultimately lose. The craftable silenced pistol requires special ammo. You have to do a bounty in order to get it. It's the Subsonic Ammo Blueprint. But honestly, that pistol is ass. And the ammo is expensive to craft.

For stealth, crossbows are more favorable than silenced pistols 'cause the materials for the bolts are easy to come by (regular bolts simply require plastic and nail, iirc).

Easier to aim with a crossbow than a bow.

Quite a common issue. On PC, I had to win the PvP part multiple times to finally get the achievement...

Anyway, in order to maximize your chance of getting it, try all of the following:

1. Try reinstalling the Bozak DLC specifically, if possible on PS.
2. The next time you do Bozak, be the session host.
3. At the PvP part, let the other person shoot you in the body at least once (some people claim this helps).
4. Kill the other person only by shooting them with the gun.

So I just did the dying like cloak potion side quest thing with the you know witch and what are they like why are cloak potions supposed to be better than camouflage because so far the only difference I see is that cloak potions require you to go out at night and hunt vultures which obviously could be done easier with cloak potions since you know you get five from one craft so you use one to more easily hunt the next vulture or something like that but like are they worse to effort like the only advantage I can see of them is that you don't have to kill a zombie to you know become cloaked but like when isn't there a zombie to kill

If you leave with 4 drops then it will reset the drops and you can go back there to collect more

Its easier to do with 3 drops that are easily accessible

Yeah, this is true for every zone. I don't know why all these videos are saying you can only collect 4 or 3, because if you collect all 5 it will go away. All these quests, all those quarantine zones are repeatable. Stuffed Turtle is by far the best one, since all quarantine zones seem to have about the same number of loot. We all know the best upgrade in Dying Light is the King upgrade. Now, there might be cooler ones like the Clicker upgrade, but they're harder to get than the King upgrade, right? But King upgrades are rare and hard to get sometimes. Especially for people without gold-tier weapons yet. So can we find the best, the second-best upgrade? What's the second-best one? Something that increases damage by 2? Something that increases all the stats by 1? Would y'all help me? Because I don't have all the upgrades. And I'm slaughtering zombies for King upgrades, but I seem to get more King upgrades than other upgrades like Templar. Which I know you get from, like, helping people.

Yeah, but I've done the prison once before I got adept. It was absolutely worthless in the end, because, you know, I don't know if the kings are meant to be in the loot room or what, but I certainly don't have good enough melee weapons to beat it melee only, if that's what you're talking about, and the, you know, bounce eats, and it eats through all of my ammo, like, excluding my crossbow and bow, which I forgot to bring, if I had brought them, probably would've ended up better. I used every little bit of ammo. In fact, I didn't even make back the ammo I spent on the prison. I can very well be the prison's knight for, like, ultra-high-tier players, which I'm not.

Kings are in the loot room. There is one in every lootable chest, along with a god tier weapon, but you need Guru time in order to get them. And you don't need to do it with just melee.

But I powered through it quick as I could, using as little ammo as possible. The only way that I could possibly get Guru Time now is because I have just gotten the engraved semi-auto. Now, if the engraved semi-auto shotgun is good enough to get Guru Time, then you tell me. I know it wipes demolishers off the map, though.

I just realized I was doing some testing in story mode, like parkour testing, and I forgot to turn it off. I went through the prison and used up all my ammo in story mode. Or not story mode, uh, normal. Darn. I don't even think I could carry enough ammo for doing it on, you know, nightmare or something like that. Do you need, like, the perfect ranking for the prison to be worth it? Like, I'm not ultra late game. I've completed the game once. You know, I got some decent weapons. My only golden weapon is, you know, a scythe I never use. So would you say that getting anything less than the maximum or second best would be worth it for me?

On normal mode, time you have to finish the prison within 8 minutes. It's better to do it on nightmare because you have 25 minutes to finish it. And you also get 3 minutes to loot.

That's probably because I don't have the best gear. There's probably a couple sections of the prison I could run through using cloak potion or something. But considering it took me almost 29 minutes to beat it on normal mode, definitely not going to be able to beat it on nightmare mode in 29 minutes anytime soon. If not for the fact that the demolishers will have so much health, I don't think I can carry enough ammo to beat them. Not counting my engraved shotgun, because I haven't tested that yet on them. Only demolishers I find outside the prison. Which by the way, are demolishers in certain areas more durable? Because I've found that the boss demolisher is weaker than the normal demolishers.

On the Pit mission, you have to fight a boss demolisher, which, considering how easy it is to beat with crumbled rebar, is much stronger than the ones you find in, say, any other part of the game.

Also, if you're getting chased and aren't near a safe zone. Run to water if it is closer. Volatiles won't follow you in there. And if they do, they drown

Also, in the mission where you're forced to burn the Antizin, don't you take a vial for yourself? I would've taken more, like, nothing was stopping him from taking a few packs. I know it was night, but, you know.

I don't think he ever talks about the vial again, unless he's injecting it into himself off-screen sometime, then he just never talks about it again.

I know that Crane didn't really know that the GRE was bad, or anything, at that stage of the game, and he hadn't been betrayed by Raius yet. But still, the fact that he burnt all of the antigen except for one vial that you never talked about again... Like... Give me half my movement speed, because I'm carrying two of those, and don't let me run. I would still make it back to the tower unscathed, because, well, cloak potions or something, probably. But still, the fact that he didn't bring any back for anyone. I mean, honestly... The two Russian twins, I forgot their names, they might constantly call you stupid, and it might be like a ha-ha, they think you're way stupider than you are, but honestly, Kyle Crane is pretty stupid.

Yeah, he should have realized something was up when the GRE told him to burn up all the medicine that, you know, everyone needs to survive after they get bit. And then, there's a whole questline about you being angry at the Fisher Village, Fisherman Village, because they won't let people who've been bitten in. What's like, duh, there's no more antigen. Anyone who's been bitten is gonna become a zombie. Right? I mean, come on, I would have at least brought a few vials. If five vials is enough for a few days, then there must have been, like, two weeks worth of vials in that care package. He should have grabbed at least a week's worth.

If I were in Crane's position, actually, I would probably have just brought all the antizin to the tower (or as much as I could safely carry—hide the rest in some nearby house 'til day), then proceeded with tricking Rais into thinking we're out of anitizin... The tower's actual deficit in antizin didn't seem facilitative of Crane's mission. If the GRE's worried about some Rais spy being in the tower, Crane could have simply collaborated with Brecken to make most of the tower members believe they have less antizin than they really have or something.

That close to that time, none of the subs or raiders would have been out. So I would just simply hide the antisense, since I'm pretty sure we know those cases are, like, water-type, right? And I had string in my pocket. Just tie a few rocks to it, you know, toss them in the water. Put out the flare. Maybe pull the parachute into the box so you can't see it from as far away. And maybe try to push the box under, since the volatiles were out, obviously. It would be pretty hard to do that without making a noise. But since you're so close to the water, you can jump on it, right? And obviously they're gonna spit at you, but, you know.

To be honest, Raius has like no thugs actually at his compound. If he does have one, they're all underground, it'd take him a minute to get back up. Alright. Take a few of the guards with the guns, you know. Run up, and just take out the guards at Raius's place. Steal the antidote, and then we get to be the bandits. You see, I'll kill Raius, then I'll take his clothes, and become him.

Because I always wondered how many thugs he has in lore, because a few voice lines would make you think that there's less than 100, maybe 200 people left in the city. And based on all the, you know, stationary people we see, and not just infinitely respawning enemies, there's probably closer to like, less than 100 left. So in lore, I always wondered how many thugs the Rhinus actually had.
