I prefer TB designs because they’re more realistic in my opinion, DL2 designs still look great but what bothers me is the big blisters all over their bodies I’m just not a fan of, I don’t mind blisters in general I think they work on zombies for sure but it’s the main feature for them in DL2. In TB they look more like undead, especially the runners who are freshly turned. I dislike DL1 designs they most they’re super plain with weird color pallets that didn’t look right.

here is raytracing off, then with just raytraced reflections, then just raytraced global illumination, and then lastly just raytraced shadows, and you can judge for yourself. the only one that really makes a big difference is global illumination

so ive been doing lots of graphical comparisons between raytracing on and off, and ive noticed some issues

first of all, raytraced shadows are bugged

check out the building on the right, by the windows.

this is happening when the light source is at an extreme angle and trying to create a shadow on a flat surface

its almost like the bump mapping is cuasing a sort of "z fighting" effect
