Yes, if you care for a plot. If you're looking for combat and gameplay like in the other games, it does have some ups and down overtime like the first launching where bitters grabbed you more often and was pretty annoying but it was fixed. The gameplay brings back that old style like dying light 1, simple but not too much.

For my own personal opinion on it... It is probably one of the best Dying light games. Dying light 1 was too good. Dying light 2 is okay but too long in my opinion, it felt more like an RPG game than the first one. Dying light the beast is a good overall in story plot and style even though I heard many players back then during the dlc in Dying light 1 hated the driving mechanic. It brings back to its roots in the new one.

For those wondering, Dying light the beast was originally a dlc for Dying light stay human but Techland decided to make it a standalone game. I even heard they are focusing more on Kyle crane in the future.. but I don't know if it's true or not... Mostly rumors.

If you are planning to play through the game again then it is a good idea to do it on restored land, as mentioned it has separate saves from the main game, it also does not have legend levels or ng+, if you are up for a challange you could give one life a try, if you do die you can switch to respawn mode and continue on the save or try again, you get an outfit for both modes and a charm if you restore all regions

Never said i was. The game gives the feeling of that especially with the times something is around that corner. I never said chases were the only factor for it being horror. Quarantine zones are still an activity apart of the game thats pure horror. Night and the overall vibe of the game leans more towards horror than it does “non horror”. Being indoors has always been set to be terrifying always too because there is not much space to run. Same goes with dead island. It was always scary indoors or in the quarantine areas.

The game was even advertised as a horror game same as dead island. Just because it has a lot of action doesn’t mean its not horror. RE 4 and RE6 is a prime example of this.
