I thought about that and it sounds cool but the only reason the boomstick exist in DL2 is because there was no guns so they made their own. The beast has plenty of guns but still it would be a cool item to have in the throwable slot, you could whoop ass with melee and quick shot with it.

Same here, I was genuinely surprised when people complained they weren’t in the game but they explained why they weren’t perfectly. And 20+ years into the apocalypse there wouldn’t be many guns around I liked the medieval aesthetic the game was going for it made sense and is pretty accurate

Yeah you can only use weapons that are your level or lower so you can’t cheese. And any weapon is good it’s up to you and your playstyle. Personally I run 1h slashing weapons and occasionally 1.5h blunt weapons. For range I like to use crossbow, rifle, shotgun and SMG best it just depends on what I want to use and in the beginning it’ll be based on what you have ammo for. The Bow is really good early on but once you get to bigger New game pluses it stops one shotting so I don’t use it very often.

And same with weapon mods, they’re all relatively the same so it just depends on what you like best and you can try out different combinations til you find what works for you

I like how the are in The Beast, in DL1 and especially 2 they were broken. So broken I’d use time to create temporary safe zones and use them as flares to light the way for new players 😅 I have like 2k UV flares on DL2 it’s ridiculous. I like them being more rare and something you have to find rather than being able to bulk up on them and use them all the time. Leans more into the survival horror aspects of the game. But because they’re more rare it would be cool to upgrade the time on them. They don’t cover as big of a radius or last as long which is fine, incentivizes you to use them properly in emergencies

They could make a game where we play as Brecken in Harran before he gets his head injury and before crane arrives at Harran

If he is alive he’d have to have someone taking care of him full time, he isn’t going to be running around fighting infected

I kinda want the next Dying Light game to be the most story driven and survival based game.

Dying Light was like that perfect blend of survival and horror that flew the franchise up.

While Dying Light 2 was a bit disappointing to most, they did experiment with some new mechanics and features that could be great additions to future games.

Dying Light: The Beast combined everything people liked about Dying Light and 2 while also adding in some more experimental features like a hunger system.

I think having something like that in the next game shouldn’t be that hard, right?

Imagine a Dying Light game placed in London. We’ve seen dialogue of Aitor and Aiden talking about London in Dying Light 2, that could be a great start.

Since Brecken is British and if he did survive the events of Dying Light 1 somehow, I think the most reasonable thing for him to do after escaping Harran is to return back to London.

It's definitely not a skill issue 😂 I've put hundreds of hours and multiple playthroughs of the Dying Light and Dead island series, The Beast is definitely more intense and generally feels alot harder than the others which is good, in DL1 and DL2 I felt too overpowered by the end but DLTB I still feel overwhelmed (not a bad thing) just wish they weren't as grabby 😂

It’s a single player game, and most single player story driven games are done once you beat them, DL is one of the few games that do post launch content without it being a live service but because of that people act like it is a live service and want constant updates. In reality they could’ve just released the game and left it at that

Yeah it’s an unfortunate bug, back when the game first came out there was a couple that bothered me. I wasn’t able to get the volatile charm because I couldn’t pick up the key and I couldn’t get the Rogue pants because the generator wouldn’t turn on and then the chicken Easter egg was the main 3 that bothered me. I was able to grab the charm through the wall after watching a video and when I joined someone’s game in co op I was able to get the pants. Had to join someone to get the chicken as well because the doors wouldn’t open

Most of that has been fixed though

There’s a few quest items you can get from the locked containers without opening as well

Currently there’s no real way to boost XP like there is on DL1-2 so you’ve gotta do it the old fashion way and grind it out. Story and side quests give the most XP, Safe zones, power and water stations and random encounter are a good source of XP as well. Everytime you complete a NG+ run the XP will scale so it’s good to do multiple so you can get more and more XP for everything you do or as stated above you can just join someone who’s on a higher NG+ an gain XP that way. There’s also the explorer set which grants XP bonus, Excalibur sword that gives an extra 10% XP but when it breaks the one you can craft only gives an extra 5% there’s also a charm you can put on any weapon for an extra 3% XP

The XP and difficulty will stop scaling at NG+11 but you can do more after that if you choose to do so

You can always play a different game until more stuff comes, odds are they aren’t going to add a whole lot. I’m sure they’ll add some minor things like more side quests and bounties etc some stuff that adds replay value to the game but I wouldn’t hold your breath for big changes

Yeah the majority of people play the game solo first and then when they complete everything then they go back for co op. It’s the best way to experience the game imo
