I didn’t care for them in DL2 but they’re extremely satisfying to use in The Beast

2h are just too slow and consume too much stamina to be enjoyable. You can output the same if not more damage by using 1h and 1.5h by swinging faster and you’d lose less stamina. 2h weapons leave you vulnerable while attacking and make you have to get out of combat frequently to regain stamina.

I enhanced around every 8-10 levels when the stats were different enough to actually make a difference otherwise it’s a waste of resources. I think it’s best to enhance everytime you feel like your weapons are becoming underpowered

Initially I was enhancing just about every 1-2 levels when I got to a workbench but I quickly realized just how much resources I was burning through

Enhancing is when you raise the level of the weapon you currently have, but yeah for the weapons that have blueprints it’s cheaper to just craft a new one once it breaks but for the weapons that don’t have blueprints you’ve gotta enhance it to make it stronger

I carry my main 1h, a gun, a 1.5h for when I need more damage and then a bow or crossbow.

So 2 melee and 2 range is what I use in my 4 slots but can occasionally vary depending on what I’m doing

If this is your first time playing on Nightmare difficulty and you've already changed the difficulty once, you will no longer receive the special rewards for defeating chimeras and completing the game; you will only gain more experience for what you do.

I try to tell people they need to prepare for nightmare, you need plenty of food, batteries and heals before starting it. And worst case scenario you don’t prep at all which is highly unadvised just spend an hour or 2 farming food and batteries and you’ll be good to go especially if you collect them as you play because there will be plenty in and around quests

I recently started nightmare when it came out. So I killed my access to those nightmare rewards. Getting food and batteries wasn’t so hard.

Hardest part is volatiles.

Yup, it’s always good to have more than you’ll need but if you’re smart about it you really won’t need more than 10 batteries. But if you’re keeping your flashlight on just because it’s slightly dark and if you keep it on during the day by forgetting to turn it off you’ll burn through batteries, just gotta be mindful

I don’t use mods much but when I do I use the mods that active upon crit. But doesn’t mean they aren’t good they’re just different. I like the bleed one with the spinning saw but I don’t use it

Yeah if I do use mods it’s always the bleed mods that active upon crit, I don’t like the super flashy mods an the little blades look cool on a lot of the weapons, I’ll occasionally put fling mods on my blunt weapons but otherwise I mainly use bleed.

I usually use a crit and 1 charge mod when I use mods on weapons. The advantage of the charge mod is that you can decide for yourself when you want to use it.

Power mod is good because it gives you long bursts of the element you choose. Crit mods are just random crits, and you could easily go an entire fight without landing 1 crit. Power mods don't take much to charge, and then give you 20 seconds to just unleash constant elemental damage on everything around you.

The Puff mod (Blast ele power mod) does ridiculous dps for 1H and 1.5s, and Voltage (Lightning ele power mod) can mow down pretty large packs of biters with very little risk of getting attacked back.

Heavy weapons have such clunky power attacks that I don't find them as viable for power mods. 1H and 1.5s can chain power attacks so much more smoothly, and 1H weapons have such a nice Windmill animation for hitting maximum radius electric chains

Lightning is still fine on 2Hs, but I prefer full crit mods for them because of the issues listed above. Especially since the best 2Hs have a "+crit chance on power attack" affix anyway

so you can choose to either spam light attacks until you get crits, or use the occasional heavy attack for a slightly higher chance to crit

but for Power Mods in general, I don't find it worth on 2Hs

Yeah, I have the same issue with polearms. Polearm's heavy attack is a thousand times better than regular 2H, but they also cause knockdown when it lands.

so it kind of wastes the value of an electric power mod, and polearm heavies cost so much stamina that you can't spam them as often to take full advantage of those 20 seconds of guaranteed elements

actually now that I think about it, lightning + fire would be a straight upgrade if your only objective is to wipe out groups of biters. Lightning's damage on the target that it hits will deal more than Blast, but Blast procs do cause large infected to stagger so you can vault off of them. So if you plan on using that polearm for goons/demolishers as well, go blast + fire. If not, lightning + fire.

Vault kick is pretty good against human enemies, they can't parry it and it opens them up to be vaulted off of again. Jump kick is more of a style choice, but it's fun and I like how you can use it to negate all fall damage

if you learn the spawn locations of biters that sit around the bottom of super tall cliffs or buildings, you can make some pretty big shortcuts

Twice now I got the game on sale, played around for about 30 minutes, was disappointed by how much worse the writing, atmosphere, polish and animation quality was compared to TB, and refunded

You get the weapon from a quest, if you don’t have the blueprint after the quest there isn’t one.

All the blueprints you’ll need to upgrade for that trophy are marked on the map as far as I know, if you hover over the different icons you’ll see what places have what in terms of loot and blueprints.

Spectral baseball bat can only be obtained through the techland gg outpost. However mine is glitched and I’m sure many others have this issue also, but that’s the only way to get the weapon

For me and a few others the weapon just looks different. But if ur trying to get it, it’s on techland gg / dying light outpost. You get it for free when you make an account I believe
