alright, can we talk about the ability that lets you INSTANTLY reverse your direction by 180 degrees in MID AIR and how dumb and out of place it is?

its so out of place and goes against the entire point of a parkour system, which when at its best is about the player maintaining momentum while moving as fast as possible through an enviroment, and ability that lets you not only completly cancel your momentum but REVERSE it without ANY explanation as to how or why its possible, when every other ability at the very LEAST is based on the laws of physics (abiet losely) but this one ability just.....ruins it. i ALWAYS go out of my way to not use it

I mean you could chalk it up to half human half volatile so therefore its possible, but idk. the way i see it, they just took that move from aiden, and aiden was already established as essentially a super human in dl2. but its more of a cool lil trick rather than something useful or necessary to the parkour, you could always just turn around normally mid air. but realism isnt really something the game tries to go for.

as for momentum, it doesnt completely ruin it for me. again, its more of a lil trick you can pull off, but depending on how you use it, it definitely can add to the parkour.

and i wouldnt say it goes against the parkour, as its literally something parkourists do irl and its a pretty common move, so ofc they had to implement it somehow. (just with actual laws of physics lol)

This is going to be read weird or sound weird but so far for me, The Beast is the best game of the 3 and at the same time the least impactful game of the 3.
It was too short, too easy (nightmare is amazing but it pushes boundries annoyingly.)
Not hating it, just passionate enough where I hope Techland adresses the game flow and it's fun and impactfulness.
Replaying the 1st DL right now on Nightmare and it's really fun, going back to where Stay Human and The Beast was born from.

Still cant say that I agree with making this game seperate from dl2 though, definitely doesn't feel like its own full title, especially with how leveling works and parkour abilities are basically already unlocked

One thing that would have made it worth the price would be group based pvpve

For example if your in a group of any size, have a chance to encounter another group of players randomly and its up to you wether or not you attack eachother or help eachother, like arc raiders basically

But this game has always been sorely lacking pvp in any form

Also throw in a capture the flag type element where a player group can steal a "flag" from one of your safe areas youve unlocked, and if they succeed in taking it back to one of there safe houses or a predetermined spot, then the player who stole it gets a huge xp payout and or money, and the player who's flag was stolen has to unlock that safe spot again

That way when it comes to pvp you still have the two basic types of gameplay that makes the game fun, combat and chases,

game is super dope, theres a small bug tho. when you go to change from UV light to decoy grenades, grenades, etc. it eats all other inputs, so you have to re-press W again to walk. its super awkward honestly, breaks immersion in my opinion. super nerdy way to say it but genuinely it'd be good to fix/change that

Unfortunately not this year, they were busy working on NG+ and Nightmare update and we have COTB going currently. They easily could’ve added snow though they’re already in the game files and they could’ve added some Christmas themed items if they didn’t want to do an event.

It can be but no it’s not always, I’ve done a speed run with only using the grapple and one without using it at all and there’s certain places the truck is much faster than the grapple it’s best to use both.

The truck is actually decently fast what makes it “slow” is the fact the gps always takes you on a set route which often times has you going all the way around to get to your objective rather than running straight to it on foot so if you don’t follow the gps and just head straight for your objective by going off road you’ll get there really quickly. Anytime you go from old town to the caves on the other side of the map your better off using a vehicle and same with the suburban area and farmlands also a lot of the factory area you can move around quicker in a car especially if you don’t follow the gps but anytime your in old town or in and around the forested areas the grapple is the way to go.

What? I absolutely love the fpv driving its super immersive and it’s the only way I drive, driving in 3rd is lackluster to say the least and there’s so many small details your not getting by driving in 3rd.

Yeah I can see that, I spent a lot of time driving in Dead island 1 and th far cry games so I’m used to this kinda of driving they’re very similar. And I know the map like the back of my hand so I get around quick and with ease.

But yeah like you said sometimes it’s hard to see the gps in first especially in the flooded round about and driving uphill into a turn, you can easily switch to 3rd when you don’t know and then switch back. But like i said now that I know the map I know the turns
