I still think dying light the beast has the best overall art style of all the games except for environment. I think DL1 had a better environment with the wind blowing the trees,the dust particles in the air from ashes and sand,the wind getting stronger the higher up you are,the ambience and music

Oh yea man I took hella screenies for that quest, I write a little DL fanfics here and there for my besties and that one quest in particular has SO much character work and insight on dear Kyle. They aren’t all impressive but I tried to show how present Kyle was interacting with his past reflections during that quest.

Pic one… you’ll notice that I placed Kyle so that his hand would be near the pipes on the wall, the same area he tore off in the prologue for his pipe weapon. The second pic is him observing the people who are dead “because of him” and onlooking his own misery with sympathy (hence why he’s crouched side by side to himself). This last shot was supposed to show that both inside and outside of the lab, he surrounds, stifles, and attacks his own “weakness”. Goddamn do I love that quest…

Also lowk off topic but I feel like that room full of dead bodies was something he Actually saw. Almost every room in that dream sequence had a root in a real-time memory or experience he had… sometimes I wonder if the Baron felt cruel enough to place Kyle in a room full of dead bodies just like this, and taunt him over how many people died directly because of the experiments done on them using Kyle’s DNA, as the Baron discusses in his research memos

Thanks!! I love how most of these turned out. I’m super passionate in my love for photo mode and trying to take advantage of the game animations to try to get a variety of poses and shots for Kyle.
