Yeah it’s not a long install which is fine. I just never did this event and I kinda wanted the stuff this time around. I do hope the beast gets fun shit like this. DL2 released after December so it made sense that they had Halloween and Christmas events made as it lead up to it. It’s enjoyable to dropkick the elf’s 110% and when doing a finisher they just grow in size 🤣

I think people just lost infested. Finisher event should’ve been when it worked. Surprised it did when NG+ launch. I guess all the people getting to NG+ by beating base game carried it. As for crafting it should’ve been the NG+ challenge and nightmare the looting challenge. Holidays as well people not on games or playing new ones they got. Their analytics ppl could read the room better. I expected better for the hook. Numbers way too high I coped hard day 1 if everyone used it but doesn’t seem to count right

Also their lack of examples and details during challenge articles stinks so it’s hard to track or know without a personal tracker

And not enough things to really cover a lot of distance

So the only good weapon the entire event was the Night Blood. Truck skins are sorta boring. Have to equip from back pack, get in a non black truck to apply it, drive zoomed out which isn't nearly as fun as driving in 1st person.

I would like a randomized option for car skins so it changes each time. I like doing both POVs so I don’t mind. I personally liked seeing the wrench finally get a blueprint common everyday items are good, besides that the night blood was good but it didn’t reuse legacy animations which was disappointing tbh. Plus can’t mod it.

I found out also that convoys now have legendary weapons not sure if it’s a nightmare thing but I’ve gotten a couple legacy’s doing them and the mace. So it’s nice to not have to do the vendor reset for old town vendor running back and forth for hrs. (Plus co op boxes gave the most common legendaries never best ones) ng+ crates are better for legacies etc and convoys now. So I’m happy. I wish the crate encounters gave legendaries but not sure if the RNG changes for it like convoys now to where it can happen

This is what happens. Lack of details and specifics examples of what counts and how it counts. Crafting should’ve been week of NG+ and looting for nightmare. Finishers should’ve been the week before NG+ since they worked at the time for regular infected. (Somehow we got the goal due to those doing head stomps or non NG+ to reach NG+1) plus people are spending holidays with family friends and also playing different games they got for Christmas. They take none of this in consideration. So any weapons we didn’t get shanker and last weeks will have to come back later….the game needs more weapons but yeah let’s not give them lol. If someone did one week they won’t get anything they missed since 20/22 is gone when we fail even one goal this week

Doing both goals the last challenge would have us end up with 19/22 and if someone did let’s say week one but no other week or every other week well they lose out on what they didn’t get.

Depends on what your trying to farm, if your trying to farm infected for XP don’t bother they nerfed that exploit with the last update, if you mean resources just hit dark zones back to back and military convoys. Dark zones are especially good because they have a fast refresh rate so you can loot one and the head to the next closest one and loot that and then run back to the first one and everything will have respawned. If you’ve beat the game you’ll know where to get ammo and you can farm those spots as well.

Yeah they are, they can easily get into dark zones especially if you’re already in a chase and run into one there’s multiple spawn points for virals and volatiles to get in. And If you start a chase while in one they’ll spawn in there as well, not every dark zone has spawns but yeah a lot of them do you just never noticed before.

And with the recent update volatiles are in the bigger dark zones.

obviously you can argue it's for the tense experience, but that tense experience only becomes annoying after a number of ng+ playthroughs

night time isnt even really worth it anymore. You get mobbed by volatiles that give you no xp. Theres good loot, but its immediately offset by the fact that you.. well get mobbed by a limitless amount of volatiles. I didnt even know the bolter was in the game until ng+2 because i found out early on that there was no reason to engage with the night gameplay in the beast.. because again theres far too many volatiles

Nah the DL1 grapple is literally just a zip line/teleporter it’s not fun to use it’s just convenient. The new grapple is miles better it’s not even comparable, and in beast mode the grapple works the same as it did in DL1 but has a longer range

They’ve probably had someone max join them and then dominate their game and left them with nothing to do but watch, I play a lot of co op and I’m also max but when I join low levels I use a weapon that matches their level so I don’t ruin their experience. Some people also join others and try to take over their game by teleporting them around an going off and doing their own thing it’s ridiculous. I’ve had some great co op experiences but some not so great ones as well unfortunately.

When you join someone you should be a companion for them and if you want to do your own thing just host your own game 😅

It does more damage but it’s slower, the bow is still pretty good and can kill multiple enemies but when you get to higher NG+ runs it doesn’t one shot them anymore so it becomes useless. Like rn it takes 2-3 fully drawn arrows to take one regular enemy down but the crossbow will take them down in one shot
