Not true, right now being full serves no purpose other than not dying, we don’t necessarily NEED to slowly regen health while being full but the game would definitely Benefit from it, there should be both positives and negatives to the health bar and right now there’s only negatives as far as I know. You’d still have to use bandages and medkits when you take damage but for all those times you barely lose any health it’d be nice to slowly heal that off instead of wasting a whole medkit to heal such a little amount of damage that we would heal with food before the update and on lower difficulties.

Well if we’re being technical the forest does play an important role it’s like half of the map. But yeah there isn’t much of importance in the woods they’re kinda just there.

The game already doesn’t offer much parkour so having more parts be underground where you can’t parkour wouldn’t necessarily help the game but I understand where you’re coming from

You don’t go into the forest much as in quests or POI’s but you do traverse through them to get to your destination and then they sprinkled secrets throughout. But yeah i will say I did expect the forest to play a bigger role but with the game being about parkour and zombies they probably scrapped a lot of that since you can’t parkour in the forest for the most part

Well you kinda did it to yourself by going in half cocked, you should’ve started nightmare in your NG+ save so all your loot and upgrades carry over and you’d be good. And at very least you should’ve gotten at least a stack of heals and a stack of food to hold you over for the story. If the game respawn you with full health and food you should be able to do it before you run out but if it doesn’t restart you with full food you might be stuck and will either need to go down a difficulty or ask for help in the LFG channel and wait for assistance

To be fair the UV bars were absolutely broken in DL2 they had a huge radius and they lasted a good bit of time allowing you to create temporary safe zones and cheese a lot of situations, and with them being a blueprint you could have as many as you wanted so I’m glad they changed that. The Beast is going for a more survival approach by making them limited. They also don’t last as long or cover as big of a radius they actually function how they were intended to, for emergency situations. the uv bars in DL2 were so broken and plentiful I’d use them as flares to light the way for new players 😂

I’m not sure what determines the amount you lose I just know it says you lose more, I’m pretty sure it’s a percentage of what you earned within a certain period and I believe nightmare takes a higher percentage than brutal. DL2 made it to where you lost all the xp you got during the night or something like that. I was maxed by the time nightmare came out so I don’t know for sure

Does anyone have any tips for getting resources on Nightmare mode? I'm constantly running low on medkits. I tried looting a dark zone at night, I made it there without being spotted, however the Alpha Volatile came into the dark zone after a couple of minutes which scared the crap outta me btw. Maybe I just need to be faster at looting it?

The first and best tip i can give you is start your nightmare run on your NG+ save so all your stuff carries over, but also loot up during the day. Spend an hour or 2 gathering up resources before continuing on, you definitely want to set yourself up with a decent amount before beginning and then collect normally as you go. Make sure to loot every single dead body and when you’re heading to your quests stop everywhere you can and loot along the way. darkzones also reset fairly quick so you can loot one and run to the next closest one then loot that and then head back to the first and loot it up again, hope that helps 👍🏽

I don’t know the exact number buts it’s a decent amount, not as many as DL1 or 2 but they are all super high quality they feel like main missions tbh.

Yeah that’s a good change, and it’s only on nightmare so if you don’t like it you can just play on brutal you aren’t forced into it, they don’t have climbing stamina specifically because all the people who complained about it in DL2 so it never carried over but I personally never minded it. But I love having to change the battery’s it makes for some suspenseful moments and keeps you on top of conserving/changing out battery’s. It also gives a better use for battery’s because they don’t get used very much.

This game is not DL2 so don’t try and compare it to DL2, The beast is its own game and you have to treat it as such.

Yeah they need to focus on The Beast to get out some good long term content and the next title I don’t think they should be still updating DL2 at this point I fear they’re spreading themselves too thin and overall quality will suffer. The only reason they’re still updating DL2 is because they promised 5 years and could get sued if they don’t keep their promise

Another concerning thing I seen was the next DL title could potentially be a live service which I understand from a business perspective, they spend a lot of time and money for post launch content on their games and it would be so much easier if they made a live service game to keep working on as time goes on but that is most likely a terrible idea, live service games fail 90% of the time and are usually only focused on making money rather than being any good.
