cant steal what they deemed they wouldn't add back then to 2 because the narrative has him turning, and the missions all infected ignored him he was immortal and just face stomped everything on any diffuculty. So they didn't because I'm pretty sure they said it would be unbalanced at the time and now it has a balance so hopefully they back port it for gameplay's sake for 2. Like guns they dont have to retcon how he has control (yet loses it in 2, but for gameplay we 'd get it) lol

simply adding a mod to your weapon gives a small boost to its base damage and durability, but the ones with 0 slots have the same damage/dura as another unmodded weapon that already exists, so it's just inferior in both of those categories

For now there is no way of getting the stuff from the events unless you participated. But there will be better stuff at some point so it's not that big of deal if you didn't get it all. Also you really only need to play for 15 minutes per event to get the reward

The sticky inventory "Glitch" isn't actually a glitch. William's Knife sticks until broken, I believe, and the guns obtained I think you can drop if you save & quit then re-log and put them in your inventory. I stopped being able to drop the Knife myself after an update and used a separate test file to see why.

If it turns out to be a glitch, then I'm sorry

No problem man, having four needles in my inventory is obnoxious. I just found an upgraded Williams knife and figured I would check back with the one sitting in my stash to see if I could do anything with it and still no on that one, but I haven’t actually used it so hopefully I can break it and be done with it.

Legendary guns can't be dropped, only moved to the stash and back into the inventory.

Well, I do see a point as to why they shouldn't be dropped, all you need is 1 of them and to upgrade that to your current level for them to be their current level counterpart.

The way I circumvented most issues with that is I farmed the shnikies out of 100% gun loot chance in this 1 specific area at a certain part of the game then waited for survivor events before looting the hecking heckers out of Food Stores because why not just suddenly eat 905 bags of chips to simply heal all my health for the rest of the game, saves me cloth and a bit of time looting

So while I do get about not being able to drop them, why not dismantle? I mean, it takes longer and makes people have to confirm.

True, I wish I could do that, but that makes the game easier in my opinion because why not just hold onto a low level variant then spam dismantle to upgrade as many times as you want for essentially free.

You can do that to the other weapons. Plus, they stop respawning at level 15 since that is the max.
