Try pairing together 2 different elements, idk if 2 of the same element stack their damage. Fire is good AoE damage, lightning is weaker damage but better aoe benefits. Blast applies an instant 400 damage. Bleed and poison are the 2 weakest, but poison can at least turn a boss into a jumping pad for 20 seconds.

Here are some combos I really like: Flame Tip + Lightning Shaft for insane AoE. Fling Tip + Lightning OR Inferno Shaft for a decent all rounder. Fling Tip + Inferno OR Bane Shaft for killing bosses. For volatiles, maybe something like Fling + Lightning would be strong, haven't done much testing there.
