Maybe the shaders had a problem getting executed by the gpu during the update, delete the specific game's shaders from steam's shadercache directory on the drive where dltb is installed so that the cpu can recomplile them to get transmitted and executed by the gpu.

It seems like the primary reason, also if it doesn't work, it might be a driver related issue

The framegen on dltb is surprisingly very efficient, it has almost negligible input delay and latency

You don't need to update your drivers actually, that's a really bs concept and can induce very specific problems you just gotta find the one which works the best for you, tbh 577.00 is very decent if you want to achieve consistent performance

If you have a 4060 like me, I would recommend trying 577.00 really, tbh I tried several ones, 566.36 which is quite popular, but kn the contrary it's not stabke at all, 566.14 has a good performance but again the frametime is very inconsistent and it doesn't work quite well in every game.

572 varients are the worst ones tbh, but the 577.00 which I manually downloaded from my secondary manufacturer asus's website for my asus dual rtx 4060 8 gb gddr6 oc, that's working surprisingly tons times better and even more stable and consistent than other drivers, I guess for the adav lovelace architecture this driver configures api the best.

Again it all comes down to which driver can configure and utilize the api efficiently and execute the shaders efficiently, might differ for specific products but imo worth giving a shot

Yeah, if that does the job then no need to take the risk imo, it's not worth the hassle if the shaders get messed up again, but if its still not very consistent, 577.00 is a really stable driver.

It's a completely different map. It's like a small city in Europe with a bunch of rural areas and a couple relatively small urban areas. It's not super big and I can't speak to the density of apartments, but there's plenty of buildings to snoop through. I don't like it as much as the first games map but I think they did a good job with it

There are a few apartment buildings as Dark Zones but they're basically entirely optional to even go inside more than once

I've never played the 2nd game but from what I've seen, the architecture looks pretty similar on the whole.

I miss the blue tarp roofs of the Slums still, but I think that's just me lol

DL2 to DLTB map are insanely different and there is an insane upgrade

DL2 is the fictional city of villedor, loosely inspired european architecture
DLTB is in castor woods, set in the swiss alps and you will always feel like youre actually in a real existing place (which is something DL1 really nailed) the map is insanely diverse. doesnt suffer from any of the problems DL2's had (the super common ones that people have repeated. theres no real copy pasted interiors)

castor woods feels like harran where if you drop yourself anywhere on the map at some point randomly, you can immediately know where exactly you are. even if youre not ingame and just see a image you'd be able to tell! dl2 had the adverse effect of 'well theres the seven identical central loop towers around me golly'

i'm glad they updated the gameplay mechanics in the new dying light, i went back to play dying light 2 recently (because i love dying light so much) and i realized how annoying some of the controls are. Blocking and aiming in dying light the beast are literally the same button so it feels so easy. in DL2 you gotta press a different button to block with a melee weapon vs aiming a gun or bow lmao

absolutely cooked my brain and had to rebind keys to be more comfy with what i got used to when i binged The Beast
