have you considered upgrading your router or asking your ISP for a better modem? might not actually be your speed. could also be bad physical cables or NICs. dont get me wrong fiber helps, but its not the only link in the chain you can improve

many ISP routers have a modem more which cuts down a good chunk of what the router does, and then you just slap your own gear there

in my situation it was a case of extreme packet drops over this particular cable
my point being is that ISP speed is not the only limiting factor in a network

its not the copper that has problems my gui, the cold eats the sheath and insulation. and thermal expansion gets them sometimes too in the sun

It's generally gonna be actually rated for the job and mounted by people whom have the stuff to avoid ingress into the cable

we have fiber to the router, the issue is a bridge cable to a switch. the bridge has had to be replaced after every winter, it just doesn't survive. sometimes the heat will kill it too
but that's only happened once
