bleh, if i wanted to move to win 11 (without the hackiness of disabling the tpm requirement and accepting that shit goes wonky, which im well aware is possible but im not that into it) then I'd need a new CPU (therefore new mobo) which is ~500 on its own. And my RAM is pretty much going, so would probably get new ram. Another 105 added. And at that point I may as well go for a bigger upgrade, so a nice m.2 for boot and and a 2tb ssd for extra stuff, and i'd keep my 4tb hdd for other randomness. Set me back about 1k now.

And I'm still using a gtx 1080, would like to upgrade that but the prices are still wack
