Engine mode 1 will hide blocks that the player can't reasonably see. Engine mode 2 will hide all blocks to prevent a mod from seeing any ore, even if they could see it normally

It is out but there are bugs and may be others we don't know about, so we need user reports. If you aren't ready to take consistent backups and be prepared for something bad to happen (that you should be able to recover from with ease) then don't run it. There is no ETA
