the way im going to do it requires the 2 servers to essentially communicate to each other by state transformations in the database

#

like on connect, if player is online any other server, mark connection as "pending transfer", sends a network message to the departing server to initiate the disconnect, once fully disconnected, update DB as offline, send message to destination that player is ready to complete transfer

#

even thats gonnabe hard as gotta avoid sending the disconnect packets from the initial departure quit so it can do a normal server transfer

maybe Tux can implement this in Velocity natively, would be another perk of velocity 😉

I just made my transfering work so that the player waits on the new server until all data is loaded. sure it might be a tiny bit unsafer but normall the data is available near-instant anyways

First off, Im assuming you're referring to a PR I submitted to Bukkit/CB.
To set the record straight, i have never once copied anything from Paper nor anyone and posted it to CB/Bukkit, or anywhere else for that matter.
IF I DID, i would 1000% give credit where credit is deserved. Im an adult, not a child who likes to copy peoples work, and not credit them.
I like and respect billy. Im insulted that you are implying this, and telling people i copied someone else's work, with absolutely zero backing to these accusations. Thats not cool!
On top of that, i myself use paper, I have no desire to run a Spigot server. I do on the other hand prefer to PR to CB/Bukkit only because the things i add i often use in my own plugins, and/or Skript, as I am one of the devs of that project.
If you ever feel like accusing me of something in the future, i do ask that you please reach out to me first, to get facts rather than bash my name with no proof.
