@vernal moth I've finally gotten to a point (kind of?) where paperweight is updated to FG3's latest tooling and cadix's latest stuff. I'm currently fighting Gradle Providers, but that's just gradle stuff. May have to download the MCP zip during configuration time rather than during a task, which is gross and means I have to implement caching checks myself, so I'd prefer not to do that. But I'm asking the people on the Gradle slack so hopefully they have a better answer. Anyways.*

I have it working to a point where I can run my remapSpigotSources task which uses Mercury, but I'm getting a NPE. I've been working on this all day to get it where it's at now, so I'm done working on this for now. If you want to look at it and try and run it and see what you can figure out, have at it. After I push these changes up with a readme explaining how to set this up with Paper I'll give you access.

  • Another solution would be to not read the config.json file that Forge provides and just assume the files are where they usually are, which would work until Lex decides to move stuff around so, idk.
    FG3 has this same issue but their solution was to completely re-implement dependency resolution and task caching themselves, and my goal for paperwight to be a simpler, much more straightforward system
