There are several different ways a ship can move

while piloted, you can sneak fly by sneaking, moves the ship in the direction you face several times a second

there's also direct control which lets you use wasd controls to fly it almost x wing style

it might be useless, but i'd like to say, sometimes it's nice for players if they can duplicate sand/concrete/railway. why not make it optional? it could be features rather than bugs. 😅

i wrote a post on this, 'mechanic' wise its one thing for a bug, but simply making extra copies of a resource item just to 'save time' is silly, thats an item dupe

you can use plugins to dupe items if you want to let them conditionally dupe

or villager trades i think is a decent compromise

i look at it as if your playing SURVIVAL, the idea is work for the resources used. need lots of resources? need lots of work.
If you want to take resources out and just build, thats what creative is for

"back in my days" we dug big holes with 30+ shovels, or created hundreds of tnts we farmed resources from simple mob farms for to detonate.

the satifaction from finishing a build that took lots of effort and resources is diminished if you use exploits to easy mode getting the items

you can do some pretty epic stuff with tnt duping if you are into the whole flying machine thing

like the guys on the scicraft server, I'd say they are pretty invested while using tnt duping. But thats probably a small subset of people
