Say like clearlagg, the dev posts a legacy build, and then an updated build shortly afterwards. Wouldn't nozzle sometimes download the legacy build which couldn't be used on an updated server.
Also, a plugin update could switch from being compatable for Java 8 to not compatable for Java 8, and on a Java 8 server, would cause problems.
Or perhaps an update is released for a plugin that only works on 1.15, but my server is still waiting to update to 1.15 due to other plugins not being updated yet.
I'm also not sure how you plan on bypassing the captcha or how you can find the new bukld jars, but that's another story.

Minecraft doesn't understand the code, however. The JVM understands the bytecode that was generated from your build tool, which in turn read your code to make that bytecode. Minecraft, as in the pure Vanilla form, doesn't even know plugins are a thing.

(Well, the NMS in CraftBukkit, Spigot, Paper, etc. is modified, but NMS in itself doesn't directly interact with plugins.)

Or are you just learning theory right now? That's important too.

For Java, you write stuff which is called source code. This is human readable and is what you would write when you want to write a plugin or a program.

Then, you need to put all that code through a compiler. A compiler, for most programming languages like C++, turns it into machine code. This is code that your computer can understand and run.

For Java, it's a bit different. You put that through an intermediary compiler and it turns into what's called "byte code." This is code that another program called the JVM (Java Virtual Machine) can run, and on the fly it turns it into machine code, what your computer can understand. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

An IDE is a program just like any other, like Google Chrome, which just helps you write the source code.

It does a ton of things that makes programming source code easier, like auto complete, error checking, autocorrect, that kind of thing. It also lets you compile your source code and turn it into byte code, and run it too, all within the application.

So instead of going to TextEdit or Notepad and writing code, then going to your terminal and using the program to compile your code, then having to find your compiled code and run it, you can simply do that all in the IDE, which is short for Integrated Desktop Environment.

I strongly recommend you use IntelliJ IDEA (https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/) because that's, in my opinion, the best. It has the features like the ones I just mentioned, plus some cool things like code cleanup, which moves your code around and makes it more readable for you, and refactoring.

Say that you need to change the name of a variable or a method (or a function if that's what you're used to), instead of having to look for it all around your program and changing it in each place, being careful not to miss any, you can simply change it in one place and it'll change everywhere else. That's refactoring.

It just makes developing programs easier.

Some people also like using Eclipse (https://www.eclipse.org) but I strongly recommend IntelliJ IDEA over Eclipse.

Afaik, Java bytecode is interpreted and not necessarily compiled to machine code (the JIT will compile the machine code, but the JIT may not do that for all areas) and I don't think the spec even requires you to compile anything to machine code, but idk.
