@vestal jasper Obviously not optimal, but the alternative is way more complicated compared than it should be. Glowing items are usually used in menus, where adding and hiding enchantments don't really change anything, except, of course, you are highlighting an already enchanted item

so I guess I could add a check to only hide enchants if it's not already enchanted
