It's not "bugged", but there isn't a "Desolate dive" in it either.
There is a different ability that you get, that breaks floors like DD does though

can someone update the zote skin? like it doesnt show in the abyss cutscenes, the distant village bench cutscene, the hornet cutscene, sitting with quirrel, or dreamnailing into places, i also dont know if custom mods can be added to the stag traveling cutscenes, but if they can can that be fixed
because those spritesheets fir those cutscenes havent been made

Its for the cutscenes, like the hornet one in cast off shell, the quirrel one at the lake, the one in deepnest when webbed, getting the dreamnail, entering a dream, and for the unn charm

fundamentally you can edit any image, by selecting your own base sheet and json
i just have not gone through the effort of tagging each sheet
which is where the editor comes in
once the editor is complete anyone can tag the sheets

My mods have been updated to 1.5, and with it I decided to make a small update to IKG. A new Infinite Mode has been added, where the fight will continuously get harder and harder until you die
This new update to IKG brings an infinite mode, a mode where you can fight IKG indefinitely. He will constantly get faster and faster until he becomes too difficult for you to handle.

why am I one hitting my shade? I only have kingsoul, not void heart
and I just got void heart... wth why am I getting void heart like 1 hour into this randomizer.
When I try to open modloader it creates an autoupdater thing and doesn't do anything else, do I have change my game version or redownload the game and modloader

That is generally the best way to multiplayer, rather than the one on the mod installer

- This wasn't a comparison between patches.
- 1.5 has awful screen tearing for me, 1.4 does not.
- idk what causes it on your end, i don't have screen tearing for either patch

One doesn't currently exist. I would imagine that one could be made though.

The issue with this is that you would need the mod installed, and for most people doing runs is partly for the shared competition on speedrun.com, where mods are banned.
You can use LiveSplit with the auto splitter so you can see how far ahead/behind you are at any given moment, though there won't be an in game ghost etc.

Check the pins of #archived-modding-development for Go Dump and Sprite Packer. These will let you get all of the sprites separated out and organised by what animation they are for.

ok but ive seen so many people suggest custom knight skins but not a lot of people actually make the skin
like i swear we are not custom knight machines it takes time to make skins
me on my way to implant chips into you so you become a custom knight machine
but yeah skins take a long time
I definitely wish there were a better way to convey how much effort goes into the hand-made skins
also even if the skins take a short amount of time, motivation is a lot of factor to how fast we work
i expected angel knight to be finished back in february but i lost motivation so thats why i released it in april
sorry if my constant idea suggesting is stressful, i just really like the images i put and really wish they could be implemented, take as much time as you need on any skin or project for that matter, its having fun and enjoying the final result that matters

I see 3 ways for you to currently add this would you like to hear?
yeah
- Easiest method programming wise, remake your spritesheet to fit with the in game one for the original enemy, preload a instance of the original enemy (load the enemy before the title screen), then modify it to have your edits
- Same as last one except you keep this spritesheet and program in all of the sprite’s pixel positions on the spritesheet, animations too if there’s a different amount of frames
- Remake the enemy in the unity editor (remake the ai in a normal monobehavior instead of a fsm, add the spritesheet and use the automatic sprite slicing tool with small edits if needed, set up anything else the enemy normally has in the game) then assetbundle it and load it in the game
Also what version of hk are you making this mod for, version 1.4.3.2 or 1.5

For the hp you can use debug mod and enter the room the enemy is in. Then you can open debug’ ui in that room and on the right you can see enemy hp

but you only need a few custom animations, since only a couple of them actually move: Cloth, Hornet, Snail Shaman
and if you were really lazy you could just have the merchants bring their desks

I went through an entire normal rando without dash and I was searching for the third dreamer and I got void heart before the third dreamer and now I have to search the entirety of Hollownest for mothwing cloak & shade cloak because I’m not gamer enough to beat radiance no shade dash

The lastest release of the the mod installerhas the full binary path Scarab/bin/Release/net5.0/win-x64/publish/ included in the binary
Also, try opening the description of the lowest mod when having scolled fully to the bottom

well now you have to check like 500 checks for another item 
when you get a huge item right off the bat it's how runs instantly die
you can go to howling cliffs, from there to greenpath, from there to fungal wastes, from there to city of tears and deepnest
and there is a million checks on the way so make sure you don't miss even one

Is it me or CompassAlwaysOn doesn't work for 1.5?
I activated the mod and unequipped wayward compass but still it doesn't show my icon on the map

the only thing that got me worried was having to reload the save after creating it
yea, it doesn't break the game, but the mod is broken, trying to go to crystal peaks from dirthmouth (the elevator path) will infinite load

i want a lot of things, but today i want to mod devil trigger in with upgraded moves, and damn that's probably too much to ask
and there'd be different shade~~demon form looks depending on your nail upgrade
like it just make sense, we have a comparatively small moveset in hk, but you can do basically whatever you want even just with the nail and all movement upgrades, + vessels are half holy beings yet normal bugs - half underworld kind

There's RedWing|Blackmoth, and LightBringer, which fundamentally change how the Knight plays-- but it's still the Knight.

Yeah, i set it to show the location already, but it doesn't, probably a conflict with the "CompassAlwaysOn" mod (which doesn't work either lol)

After making any changes, you might have to shut off, and turn back on the server. At the very least, make sure you clicked "Apply changes"
Also, CompassAlwaysOn should work fine O.o
Also, CompassAlwaysOn doesn't cause HKMP's "compass" to work

CompassAlwaysOn doesn't work in my singleplayer save file either so i dunno
because CompassAlwaysOn doesn't actually equip a compass

That being said, there's another setting that's "Players always on Map", which ignore the compass part
iirc yeah, that's what the CompassAlwaysOn mod normally does.
I really need to get more up to date with 1.5, the name of CompassAlwaysOn makes me think it came from nexus lol
Flib had made me a special version of it that literally equipped a compass, specifically so that it would work with HKMP. ||Although it's 1432, and kinda buggy lol||

Custom Knight isn't on the 1.5 installer yet, but it should be this weekend most likely.

Yes
There's test is teamwork which is a new area, and there is at least one other mod being made that adds new areas.

Right, It's actually working! I thought it wasn't due to the five masks appearing on the menu, but I learned the hard way after getting hit by a bug. So does it compensate for Fury of the Fallen? (I heard the naildmg is increased by similar amount)

Why is UpdateSceneName called in both functions? It only has to be called in IsNonGameplayScene right? Also: why is IsGamePlayScene a function? Can't they just invert the value of IsNonGameplayScene?

I just want to say thank you to the modding community for this game. I love but am also bad at 2d platformers - I beat Celeste but it took me 3700 deaths to do so, which is a lot, and I fell off HK after dying in the same fungal wastes platforming section 10 times. The trek back from the bench just broke me. Being able to spawn my own benches with the BenchWarp mod is going to make it actually possible for me to make it through this beautiful game so... Thanks.

I have some good news and bad news for you:
Good news
Imo, this looks pretty neat and well made. As lime just pointed out, it could use some tweaks for accuracy and to account for duplicates. I'll probably save it though, because eventually I want to work on a skin, and having a "checklist" seems very nice to me.
Bad news
It doesn't look like it's accounting for the more recent CK, which also includes being able to customize the Shade.
||And 1.5 CK will be out soon, which actually allows for a skin to also customize any entity in the game, so if you want tiktiks to all look a certain way when wearing a skin, 1.5 ck does that. That being said, I wouldn'ta ctually expect "all enemies in the game" to be part of this kind of checklist

I corrected the dash down land oversight.
I haven't sorted out every animation with redundant sprites because there is many, and its hard to know which one is included in another one (like 202.Exit has one frame that's not in 203.Exit Door To Idle) before actually modifying those animation. I didn't include those I knew about.

RandoMapMod does work with Room rando afaik, because it is based on Helper + Tracker log.
And then there are a few Room Rando specific mapping programs. I'm pretty sure they're pinned in #randomizer or in the rando resources channel on HKSC
talking about a mapping program for in game tho. that would change the position of rooms on the map.
Fwiw, the file names of sprites do give you some indication if they are shared:
they are all in XXX-YY-ZZZ format, where
XXX = The animation number they are tied to (013 = 013.LookDown)
YY = The frame number of that animation (00 = first frame of the animation you're looking at)
ZZZ = The sprite number out of all cut sprites. This one is the indicator, as if you see the sprite ZZZs going "122", "123", "124", and then see "042", then you know that that sprite is a shared sprite.
I haven't tested, but my guess is that the original instance of it is the one used. It might just overwrite with extra copies if you have them re-made multiple times. I'm unsure.

As with most things, it's probably possible to some extent- but it would be really difficult to implement in-game, especially because room transitions don't have to "make sense", so you'd essentially need to implement one of the trackers into the game (to have the connections drawn), and that'd be like, a whole program inside the game running.
unless you get a god coder to work on it the best you would get is a connected graph

@wet fractal do you know about the automapper? It’s an external program written by Homothety, that automatically draws a graph of rooms and connections between them
(There’s another one that automatically draws a map every transition, but that one is currently too resource-intensive for me)
ive seen collette use it, but every time i looked at it i got super intimidated and ran the other way @lean jolt
(That said if you’re intimidated by Colette’s map you’ll probably be intimidated by the automapper, but I recommend trying it at least)

im trying to beat any radiance , but sometimes after i ddark i stop getting soul from my hits and somehow damage radiance when i touch her. Anyone know what could be causing that? it only fixes when i reopen the game
To clarify, the mod doesn’t equip a compass but changes the game’s code so that it doesn’t care if you have compass equipped. (The old version equipped and then unequipped the compass each time, and sometimes messed up the unequipping, leading to some issues.) it doesn’t work with hkmp automatically because modifying other mods’ code is slightly more bothersome, particularly as I can’t really test it with hkmp

For future reference: Deleting Scarab doesn't do anything. When it's open though, there's a button at the bottom-left to "disable modding API", which is what you wanted to use.

Hi guys. I wonder if there are any qol mods which remove binding of focus&cast to the same button. Does modding API allow to change this kind of stuff at all?
The problem with dual-binding is not only frequent sudden casts instead of focus (there's a different button for cast, but it does not help when you try to focus), but the game also needs some time to identify that you want to focus. This delay sometimes is critical
Also, I have an issue with the focus/dream nail buffer time during mid-air/animations. The current behavior seems to be "when the character is locked, give some buffer time if the focus/dream nail was pressed a bit early". But it still gives situations where your character just stands instead of doing what you tried to do. The better behavior would be "when the blocking animation or the jump ends, check if the focus/dream nail button is pressed, and if so - proceed"
These two problems combined make some interesting interactions useless. For example, you can intentionally focus during boss attack to proc baldur shell and then dream nail during iframes, but you can't neither start focus fast nor be sure that you'll start dreamnailing after knockback animation
Honestly I'd love to see it as the in-game fix, but I'm pretty sure that devs have more important work to do, so...
