The soul in the soul meter is stored separately.

You cannot edit it with custom Knight currently, but I believe you will be able to with custom Knight 2 when that's done.

I didnt like the orb full sprite so I put that png in a separate folder so it's hidden but now the half full and full orb dont match so I wanted to fix that by making a new orb full using the half full one to make it match

I could take a screenshot from the half full one in the game and use that to make the full one I guess

If you use Sprite Packer it will give you individual pngs that have red boxes showing the size of the sprite, too

So you know exactly how much space you have

I think I'll just take the fullorb sprite from the default and then put the skin's half soul eyes on that and I should be fine

I can also take the default hud and compare that to see exactly where the eyes should go if I need it

Making a sprite for the first time. Does anyone know what may cause the outline on the sprite?

• iirc, sprite packer can do that. But I'm also pretty sure that it just saves to an Atlas, so you should be able to see it on the big sheet.

Ok, so what Arcadia posted, I really would like to see a mod like that; but I discussed some more with the good people of #hk-discussion and this is what we all came up with as the final result:

The Boss Collector
He will have 1300 health, 3 phases
In phase 1 he will drop 2 jars and from each jar 1 of these 3 bosses could come: Hornet 1, BV, Mawlek
In phase 2 he will drop 3 jars and from each jar 1 of these 5 bosses could come: Grimm, LK, Hornet 2, Sheo, Hive Knight
In phase 3 he will drop 4 jars and from each jar 1 of these 4 bosses could come: GPZ, NKG, PV, Markoth
Each boss that comes from a jar will have 500 health
Every time 50 damage is done; the Collector will go to the ceiling to drop the jars
To make the boss fight a bit less chaotic, The Collector will not drop back down from the ceiling unless the bosses are cleared
Also, the bosses that drop from jars will not scream so as to prevent the stagger

Debug, Benchwarp, and Custom Knight should probably always be enabled.

Rando is probably the best way to play the game- either directly as Rando or with any of the extensions of it (MultiWorld, UsableItems, ItemSync).

I like to also always play with HKMP enabled, and treat other players I run into as additional "random" elements.

Other than these, there's also Lightbringer, Hollow Point, and Bonfire, which all affect gameplay a lot. Technically also Blackmoth and Redwing, but I don't find those to be balanced in a fun way.

Decoration Master is used to make/play modified levels. I think that there's actually a dedicated server for it too.

tried installing the rando map mod through modinstaller (with latest randomizer mod), seems like there are a few bugs on my end? like a random pin showing up when not looking at the map, and the pin types are incorrect

Sometimes certain items in the randomizer have duplicates. As for the dreamer, no clue on why it didn't say which one or remove a dreamer, but it should be fine.

• Lightbringer and Hollow Point both affect the way the game is played.

• RandomizerMod3.0 is probably the best way to play HK imo, and you'll better learn the game a lot while playing it, and the core mechanics are all the same ofc.

Hello. I've been checking the server for help on the Dream Shield Coop, haven't yet found a solution to my problem.
Installed HK from Steam, downpatched, installed my desired mods including mods that are recommended for coop play, remapped my keys for use of my controller, DShieldCoop v2 displays in the top left of the main screen, Dream Shield Coop is listed in the Mods in game, but...

There's no Dream Shield, and no key is making it pop up or appear on the HK. What am I missing? Help please, my gf really wants to play this with me

You need to make sure numlock is on, then you can use it

7 or 9 teleports it to you

8, 4, 5, and 6 is for movement

1, and 3 are for rotating and 2 resets the rotation

0 switches between fast moving and slow moving

The reason the top pin in #randomizer is the HKSC link, is because Rando moved there, including the regular update posts.

hey guys so I found what I needed, but in a sprite sheet, and it's pretty irregular shaping so I was wondering if any of you knew how to cut a sprite sheet like this?

Debug Mod is very solid. But it is very easy to not know what you're doing with it, and break stuff.

Part of this, is because you can bind things to button you commonly use, very easily

what i did was set a savestate inside the WK trigger

and then i fly and also noclip for no reason

you can break the bench animation if you load savestate as the game autosaves on death

i don't know how the "no inputs work" bug happened

I just thought of a nice quality of life mod. Grounded Dash. you cannot dash in the air without mothwing cloak, but you can always dash on the ground. Just to make any starts of randomizers that don't include cloak a little less slow.

someone make this i beg of you this could be a very useful mod but its very unlikely someone will put THAT much effort into something someone else thought of soo
well im gonna briefly explain it:
modifiers are bindings, but better and more balanced, with extra choices. each has 3 tiers, getting harder with each. tier 1 would be basically nothing and tier 3 would be close to the original binding difficulties but less unfair. nailbreak is pretty much identical to nail binding but deals 1 extra damage each 3 hits until base nail damage. castfail makes your spells and focus weaker and most notably reducing size of all spells
soul deprived makes you gain less soul than normal and drains it very slowly. slowtravel makes you ever so slightly slower and gives dash a sliiht bit of startup time like wings but less. undercharmed just straight up nerfs charms until some are eliminated and most are equal power. arena ascending is adding ascended arenas without double damage, more are added and some revamped.
flightless hinders your air movement by removing wings and reducing jump height at tier 3. finally shortsighted darkens up the screen a bit as if you had a slightly buffed lantern in a very dark room and removing HUD at tier 3
though this is all concept and not like actually that balanced and planned cause it would be crazy for someone to even try to make it ok bye now

now that i think about it the icons look pretty wack and slowtravel looks more like a croissant than a slug
