No spells, instead he would get several sword based attacks and a shout of rage
He'd also have a "Fury" bar instead of a focus bar indicated by a giant flame where the soul meter used to be.
Ya got a far reaching slash, an aoe shout, a self buff and a spinning upwards drill attack for yer spells
He'd still get the mantis claw, the monarch wings and the crystal heart but no void heart, no mothwing cloak and you'd also miss out on a lot of other pins that replace the original ones
I don't have the steam version of hollow knight, can I still use mods?

im doing the hollow knight randomizer right now (only items) and i summoned the grimm troupe but grimm doesnt appear theres just a item in the boss room, is there just no way to fight grimm in the randomizer?

The most likely solution I can give is that grimmchild is somewhere else, so you need to go there instead to get the charm and fight grimm.

@grizzled steppe for the grimm fight, a problem:
- winning or dying on a conveyor keeps momentum after the fight ends, indefinitely. I guess that doesn't matter too much, but you have to return to main menu and then come back to fix it, dying doesn't help.

@raw herald I actually recommend using Observer or Breacher conversion kits and Saboteur's Seal
Observer and Breacher generally output higher damage than Saboteur with the guns themselves
But Saboteur abilities cover much larger areas

Be careful when using decoration mod. I've gotten softlocked multiple times by opening the menu while in the boss difficulty selection menu

turns out if you remove the checkpoints on phase 5 the void doesn't climb
yeah, if you know where they are
that's how I removed the checkpoint on the bottom platform
otherwise you'd just respawn in spikes
but right now you respawn on the top platform, provided you've been there
if not you respawn in the void

There's a hard path and an easy path for phase 5
but the hard path has soul totems and abyss shriek
that climb looks really stupidly unfair

although maybe the crystal platforms should be removed because looks like they cause some issues with the final scene

so i put a randomizer on and started a new save the first enemy i get is a white palace defender.................
i cant beat it
you can turn "godhome enemies" on or off
which, considering there's a way to spawn in enemies using decoration master mod, makes me think you could just change the code to the randomizer to control what enemy replaces what entity, and then control what enemies spawn in a room with relatively low effort. I don't actually know anything about coding though

Oh, three* discoveries I want to share
This is the first one, you go v fast
and using a ramp gives you a lot of altitude, as you can see
This is a good way of covering long distances while in edit mode. faster than cdash. Just force camera follow, then hold a big platform over yourself
something I discovered just now is that you can't cdash on a slope
also, putting a disappearing platform vertically up against a wall will allow any player to clip through the wall
Which could make for some fun dev routes, secrets or shortcuts
I'm pretty sure clipping out of bounds is also what makes nail hitboxes go away
additionally, you can use sharp shadow or cdash to remove items. This is nice, because with sharp shadow, you can stand on an item you want to take away and it will make only what you are standing on disappear (and whatever you run into, if anything, but you can place a wall by taking an object and opening the edit menu for that object, which stops it from going away)
let me demonstrate this because i feel like I'm making it sound complicated

you could also do it downwards with dashmaster
finally, you can use debug options with the editor cursor, so you don't need to pause the game every time
hopefully these help in your editor endeavours

first phase is kind of easy. no hit it on the second attempt nail only
my problem with first phase is that it just slows you down as opposed to changing how you fight like the other phases do

All of the Greenpath tracks would be Scene 5 then, which is a pretty low scene number for Greenpath as far as I know. Plus, Greenpath is more then just one scene.
my guess is section number. but I don't think biomes like that are indexed. it's probably just a unique numbering for audioclips they chose

Yes, if you add those to pogo then you could do it no jumping.
You could also take damage from the oblobbles and pogo the saw, but I don't think that could be pogo'ed the entire fight. And that's not viable for radiant difficulty

just faster so you can't shade cloak
Gotcha - I'll see what I can do but TBH radiant oblobbles no jumping with the saws might require more practice than I'm willing to commit.

live ai editor would only work in a somewhat limited way (only editing starting variables of the enemy ai), if one would want more, one would have to somehow make a full FSM editor, or somehow usably include unity editor scripts in the release build of the game

i have an idea for a mod
It would add a charm called the "Moonheart Charm" which can seal radiance away for good without requiring Ghost's sacrafice
To obtain it you would need to beat absolute radiance in under 6 minutes, then go to deepnest to get it from the white lady.
then all youhave to do isbeat normal radiance while having the charm equipped. The catch is, the Moonheart Charm will cost all of your charm notches to equip.
just sayin, a mod with more than 2 watcher knights active/a mod where you can fight multiple different bosses at the same time would rule

your intended nail dmg is not from the nail
it's from the projectiles

Troupe Master Grimm is by far the most fun of them with the conveyor belt and buzz saw in the center. I think with some minor tweaks they could definitely be quite challenging.

GODump lets you obtain all of the animations in the game in easy to edit frame by frame mode
basically it chews up the atlases for you
into a series of easy to understand images organized by animation

Change the horns and remove the nail entirely

The "attack commands" section, which defines her attacks only calls one game object, Radiant Nail Comb [3, 85]. I assume either 3, 85 is the ID for that game object in general. What I'm curious about is where it gets randomised.
