• HK Vocalized may prevent you from accessing fights
  • (This appears to not be consistently reproducible, but if you can't enter fights, then try disabling it)
• Skill Upgrades will prevent Charms from working correctly
• Hollow Point will not work if Pale Court is installed
• Any mod that adds new Charms may prevent Charms from working.

• Use Scarab+ (it has additional support for this version that other installers currently don't have)

  • Make sure that the Scarab+'s exe isn't in Downloads. Ideally put it on your Desktop.
• Right-Click the Scarab.exe and select "Run as Administrator"

I have a friend who recently expressed an interest in playing Hollow Knight but she has issues visually processing busy things and a lot of the foreground and background clutter makes it really hard for her to parse what is walkable terrain or not. I don't know of a mod like what you want with a few exceptions (there's a mod to remove deepnest foreground spiders) but you might want to ask in the modding server (in pins) and someone may know, or you can see if anyone is willing to make it by posting in the ideas and requests channel

Hey guys I recently started modding, and I made what seems to be a big mistake. I installed Debug while i was in an area added by Pale Court, and now whenever I open that save im greeted with the full debug UI over a black screen. Starting Pale Court:

• Install it using Scarab+

• You must have ||defeated a specific boss:|| ||White Defender||

Known problems with Pale Court

• Textures do not work on Unix systems (MacOS / Linux)
  • MacOS should work on the latest update, but may still have some missing textures.
• Spanish breaks one of the bosses
• AdditionalMaps, Extra MenuBackgrounds, EssenceAlways (and any mod that attempts to force Essence drops) aren't compatible, and will prevent you from being able to enter fights.
• Using a BenchWarp Deployed Bench in new areas will break the file
  • If you accidentally do this, then close the game, disable Benchwarp, then open the file again. Get off the bench you spawn at, and sit down again. Then save+quit, and you should be able to enable Benchwarp again.
• HK Vocalized may prevent you from accessing fights
  • (This appears to not be consistently reproducible, but if you can't enter fights, then try disabling it)
• Skill Upgrades will prevent Charms from working correctly
• Hollow Point will not work if Pale Court is installed
• Any mod that adds new Charms may prevent Charms from working.

If you're having other issues, then please read #1090079233520451714 and create a #1057825333841240104 post with the requested info and any details. Be aware that Pale Court was not designed to be compatible with other mods, and you will usually need to choose between using either Pale Court or the other mod(s).

Any skin will work on a basic level, it's just certain aspects that won't - stuff like swapping inventory sprites and other features that were only added to 1.5 custom knnight. Actually any kind of swapping (so like bosses & etc) may not work on 1.4, it's been years since I was on that version tho

How to install 1221 mods

2. Right-Click Hollow Knight in Steam, select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files (For GOG Galaxy: Click button to the right of Update, select Manage Installation > Show Folder).

3. Navigate from here to \Hollow Knight\hollow_knight_Data\Managed.
   At this point it is recommended to make a copy of your Assembly-CSharp.dll file. You can save the copy as Assembly-CSharp.vanilla or something, but this is useful if you ever need to remove the API.

4. Copy the ModdingAPI Assembly or the MiniSaveState assembly into this folder (Overwrite files when asked).

5. At this point, you have installed the ModdingAPI (or MiniSaveStates). You can launch your game to verify that it's working.

This happens when the installer is unable to connect to the internet properly.
This is commonly because one or more issues:

• The installer was left in a .zip or in the Download folder. (It's recommended to put it on your Desktop or on the same Harddrive as your game installation)
• The installer may need to be run as Administrator (Right-Click it, and select "Run as Administrator")
• The installer is being blocked by built-in security software, such as Windows Defender
• The installer is being blocked by third-party security software (Avast / Norton / MacAfee / etc)
  If you are not sure how to create Exceptions in your Security software for programs, then you can see this guide or you may need to google how to do it for the software that you use.

• Using a BenchWarp Deployed Bench in new areas will break the file
  • If you accidentally do this, then close the game, disable Benchwarp, then open the file again. Get off the bench you spawn at, and sit down again. Then save+quit, and you should be able to enable Benchwarp again.
• HK Vocalized may prevent you from accessing fights
  • (This appears to not be consistently reproducible, but if you can't enter fights, then try disabling it)
• Skill Upgrades will prevent Charms from working correctly
• Hollow Point will not work if Pale Court is installed
• Any mod that adds new Charms may prevent Charms from working.

• in the "binds" menu you'll need to use the arrows to navigate to the 5th page
• then you'll find different options you can use for that: to use them, click the little arrow next to their name: in your case the useful options are Zoom in, Zoom out, Toggle vignette, Toggle hero light, Toggle HUD, and Hide Hero

Editing save files

you can also use HKmote | install to see a lot of animations in-game whenever you want
