Well screenshotting the whole folder would be more helpful, make sure you downloaded the file that matches your os and that you kept all of the files inside the folder they came in (after extracting them), also it's better to keep them in a place like your desktop and to make sure your antivirus isn't blocking the app

Scarab.exe vanishes after I start it! And/or Scarab is blank!
This happens when you have antimalware software that falsely flags Scarab as being malicious. To fix it, you will need to make an exception in that program for Scarab and/or Scarab's folder.

It's a mod certain other mods need to function. Mod dependencies are listed under a mod when you install it with scarab. They're automatically installed with the mod, so if you uninstalled it, those mods won't work anymore until you re-install it.

Certain specific things have to align for a skin to be made.
1 - person has to give a damn about Hollow Knight
2 - person has to give a damn about the thing the skin is based on
3 - person has to know modding is a thing and be familiar with custom knight
4 - person needs some level of artistic talent or the money to hire someone with artistic talent
5 - lot of time and dedication has to be given to the project

So the reason you don't skins of everything under the sun, is one of these critical things is missing.

Editing save files
You can edit various values of save files. Below are different available methods.

🔹 MoreSaves Mod

• With the MoreSaves mod installed, you can edit save files from the Mod Menu. Pause the game then go to Options>Mods>MoreSaves to edit save files in game.

🔹 QoL mod

• If you open a save file with QoL installed, you'll have an extra save file called user#.json, which can be edited using Notepad or a similar text editor. If you do not know where your saves are located, type ?tag saves for more information

🔹 DebugMod

• While not an intended purpose, you can edit some parts of your save file using Debug, such as Nail Damage, and those changes will remain even after uninstalling the mod.

How to use Scarab in Microsoft Store
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔹 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔹 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔸Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Alternate Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔹 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar, then run Scarab as Administrator and when it asks you for the path, paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside

Seems like possibly you have the wrong path for scarab selected would be my guess or, not running as admin. Support cooldown I think is only half an hour tho so probably you should give creating a post there another try. (Be sure to include a tag, if you tried from mobile consider trying from pc instead)

How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
🔹 Make sure that all 4 installer files have been Extracted from the .zip and that the new folder isn't in your Downloads folder. (Extract the 4 files to your desktop)

Hey, I just found a way to dash through enemies without taking damage in Crossroads without having shade cloak. I don't have invincibility on since it only works seems to work atm if I dash at an enemy like a frame or something before it charges at me and its hitbox changes. I wanna know if this is being caused by my mods or if I somehow just found an exploit that can be used by speedrunners. Has anyone else had this happen?

and if you don't want to break randomzied saves, just don't go in them while the game is vanilla

(it's almost certainly one of or a combination of your mods but with that many it's anyone's guess.. Honestly I'd blame charm crab just because it's known to break things)

Mods/Controller not working correctly on Steam Deck
Issue: Steam Deck installs the Windows version of HK, then runs it in proton. This would be fine except that you install Linux Scarab, which replaces the Assembly-Csharp with the Linux version, and then it doesn't like to work correctly on "Windows" anymore

Solution: Go to the HK Library page, select Properties -> Compatibility, check "Force the use of a specific steam play compatibility tool", and select "Steam Linux Runtime" (Note: not the sniper or soldier versions)

This will reinstall the Linux version of the game, and move some files around, so you'll need to select "Change Paths" in Scarab and change it to the new install path, then reinstall your mods. After this, everything should be working.
