How to use Scarab in Microsoft Store
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔹 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔹 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔸Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Alternate Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔹 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar, then run Scarab as Administrator and when it asks you for the path, paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside

❗Hollow knight Crashes upon opening, after installing a mod
This glitch can happen for a number of reasons make sure that all the reasons listed listed below don't apply to you.

🔹 Your game patch doesn't match the installer you used.

  • Scarab is made for patch 1.5.78+
  • Modinstaller 1 & 2 are made for version 1.4.3.2
  • there aren't installers for other patches.

🔹 Something didn't install correctly

  • Ensure that the installer is not still in a .zip file, and that it's not in your Downloads folder.
  • Run the installer as Administrator

hollowpirate Your game is pirated / illegitimate.
Piracy is not supported in most communities for games. Mods are not considered compatible with pirated copies, and you will not get troubleshooting support in any of the main servers for them.

HK Modding is only supported on the official versions from Steam, GoG, or the Microsoft Store.

ok i may have found something funny (that a lot of people already found i guess) i don't know if that's supposed to happen but i started a godseeker file, and using the bench warp mod i warped outside of godhome. there i found some strange things like false knight being already dead and the city crest just laying around, or the dead vessel in hornet room that fall but don't drop a duplicate of dash.
then i wondered about charm notches and found out that shrumal ogres still drop their charm notch and it does increase my charm notches higher that normally possible

This is a known issue, and Custom Knight is not considered compatible with HP.

hello, just me comming back with my rant about godseeker files with bench warp.
(reminder of the topic) so i realized if you warp out of godhome the world is in a weird state, but one thing that is still obtainable is charm notches
it appears that all the charm notches you gain, wether by finding them or buying them increases the amount of charm notches above the initial limit, tho the HUD only updates and add one charm notch.
so you can technically get 7 more charm notches for a grand total of 18 charm notches (allowing you to create a hyper build never seen before)
as it turns out, you cannot get the notch from grimm because you already have the maxed grimmchild (even tho you can actually spawn and talk to grimm)
there are so many specific weird details about the world outside of a godseeker file godhome.
my question is, was that already known ?

anyone considers enemy health bar cheating? I wanted to 100% the game on steam, and do somethign that i never did on switch: all pantheons. i find enemy health bar to be a good qol mod, but dunno if people don't like them. Also, is there a way to restore the stag animations? The mods i used for the randomizer skip both the stag arriving and the travel screen, but i kinda like those

Wtf? I got Pure Nail, then attempted to murk the Nailmaster for the achievement, but instead of it killing him, it killed me (yet kept Geo/didnt drop shade) and teleported me to Sheo's hut with both of them chilling together like the Happy Couple ending; yet I did still get the Purity achievement lol

I installed ultimatum radiance from github, but it said "failed to call constructer, check modlog.txt" I couldn't find modlog.txt so I tried downloading and extracting the source code zip file listed and putting it in the folder for ultimatum radiance but the same thing happened, how do I make this work

HKMP puts a copy of each player into each other players world. Enemies have separate health and can be in different places; items/abilities must be collected separately; breakable objects must be broken separately.

Your cannot "connect privately" to the public servers. There are no rooms / lobbies.

It could be something vanilla you're overlooking, could be something you've previewed, could be toure wrong about there being "absolutely 0" checks left - mapmod pulls info from Helper Log so it will show everything, there's nothing hidden

It does place the items, if not randomized to their vanilla location and can logically require them for progress. In Lever rando for example this would allow levers to be shared with itemsync.
In Loremaster, if you activate that lore from not randomized location can be required to get the Elderbug items and enter black egg temple. Additionally the "Master key" of the randomize treasure option can be required as well, since it can open all simple key locks, love key etc.

If you randomize everything anyway, this doesn't matter afaik

I tested again, and having enemy hp bars on makes achievements not unlock on steam, at least when playing on steam deck.

I'm not taking skin orders right now, but just to give you an idea of what I charge for a custom skin, my prices start at 500 and only go up depending on complexity and how complete a skin is.
