With dreamer bosses fragile charms dont break (for example nkg) so if you wanna you can sacrifice the range for more damage which is what i did for nkg

Charm build means everything, if you are learning a boss, I recommend a defensive build (shape of unn, quick focus, deep focus if you have them), then once you have learned the boss, go offensive (fragile strength, mark of pride, shaman stone). This is for the late game though.
