The point is that the majority of books (at least from where fahrenheit 451 is concerned) cause the reader to have to think about reality, and society did not want to do that anymore because it makes them unhappy and uncomfortable to think about the struggles of the real world. Society as a whole wanted to ignore it all and indulge in only gratification. The government adapted to this shift in society because the government was so far gone by that point that it would literally change the laws to make its citizens stay content.

The reason why books are illegal is because they break that illusion of gratification and "happiness" and as such society does not want any of it.

It's clear that the government isn't really controlling people in any way. Or at least there's no example or implication. The way that I interpreted it is simply that people don't want to think for themselves because it's either too hard or too sad for them. And it worked. Like the several times where people just straight up ignore people's deaths in the story.

Because they're desensitized, they don't care, and on the surface level they believe they are content like that.

Or near the end where they kill some random guy and say it's Montag to get the public to stop worrying. They don't really give a shit if Montag is loose or not they just want people to not be scared.

The problem i have with quickslash and abs rad is except for a few platforms you’ll have to jump to hit her, which means you don’t get a huge payoff of using quickslash. You may get one or two extra hits in before falling down, but replacing that or range with spell charms gives a higher and safer damage output imo
