I've collected data from this discord ever since I got here. I have solid theories as to why SS will come out in 2022:

1. we know from E3 patterns that it likes to come out in the first 3 months of a year. since we have the GEforce leak its likely SS will be in E3. though geforce is not confirmed.
2. SS has been in development for 3.5 years and since TC can make a enemy with animations and AI and it took 2 years and 3 months to complete the base game of HK. With the experience of making HK, the money they got, and jack vine helping them and a production time of an indie game being 3 its clear SS is massive or is being polished. this proves that TC is fast at making games and with the extra resources there probably even faster. Also this maybe outdated but the kick starter says there finishing up the game.
3. SS never coming out

HK took longer than 2 years, there was considerable development before the kickstarter (although it was in a different engine and very different than the final game, lots of assets and the base of the game were still carried over from this stage of development) and the dlc content packs took an additional 1.5 years to develop, which were most likely intended to be part of the base game but ended up being cut for time and budget reasons
2. Other things have pointed toward SS being released or shown in all sorts of scenarios, including E3, and using the Geforce leak as evidence, which we're almost sure doesn't mean anything and was simply a placeholder date, is not only just another possibility in the dozens that have appeared over the years but also probably less of a good idea to track dates.
3. TC has had a third member for it's entire existence, and David Kazi filled Jack Vine's role for most of HK's development, and all of the base game's development.
4. Effort to make something has so many variables that it's all but impossible to track. Yes, TC is probably able to work more efficiently on silksong because of experience, but the game will almost certainly bigger and will definitely be more complex, both in the art and animation and also in the gameplay, both exploration and combat.

I've collected data from this discord ever since I got here. I have solid theories as to why SS will come out in 2022:

1. we know from E3 patterns that it likes to come out in the first 3 months of a year. since we have the GEforce leak its likely SS will be in E3. though geforce is not confirmed.
2. SS has been in development for 3.5 years and since TC can make a enemy with animations and AI and it took 2 years and 3 months to complete the base game of HK. With the experience of making HK, the money they got, and jack vine helping them and a production time of an indie game being 3 its clear SS is massive or is being polished. this proves that TC is fast at making games and with the extra resources there probably even faster. Also this maybe outdated but the kick starter says there finishing up the game.
