Hunt: These require you to kill some enemies - now, I highly doubt it's just "kill X of this type of enemy", instead, it will most certainly be "go kill the enemies in X location", and it will trigger some event,
Grand Hunt: it'll probably be Hunt but for bosses instead of enemies,
Gather: This requires you to gather ingredients, but you first need to find the ingredients, and then you need to find the quest giver. I think ingredients aren't gonna be just random spawns, and you're probably gonna stumble upon them while exploring
Wayfarer: This seems kind of obvious, but this will probably require you to go find a place, most likely a hidden one

As you can gather, all of these would require you to find a location first, so it seems to still about exploration
