Battle Brothers at least gets away with it for me despite your run being easily ended by fucked up contracts like "Hunt a Witch" or "Kill a Lindwurm" because i can save scum my way out of it unless i enable Ironman mode (which majority does not)

but to give it leeway, most Roguelikes expect your run to last for around 30 minutes where BB has the run being more like campaigns you can permanently lose (if you enable Ironman) that can have around 20-35 hours of progress

Here's the thing you have to know.
Regardless of what happens at the end of Hollow Knight, we know Hornet is alive and captured by the Citadel cult at the beginning of Silksong. It doesn't matter what happens between the two because it's not important to the story of either game.

All endings are canonical because Silksong doesn't care about any of the events of Hollow Knight itself, since we know where Hornet is at the start.

So on my mouse I use left click for attack and right click for heal. I have to thumb buttons which could be good for skills and tools but I'm not sure I don't usually move my thumb.
