HZD 1 had lots of combat approaches you could take, but 2 of them are useful once and the rest can be used to take down one machine by itself.

ie nobody uses scrapper arrows, everybody spams sticky bombs

The games best qualities right now are the implied vertically in combat, and the new machine types. If these are the only substantial changes, the game will be slightly disappointing.
