I googled how to activate the actual troupe quest, and how to open the birthplace, not realizing I just needed to equip the charm and stand where I was already standing

Regardless, TC doesn’t have that much issue with people missing content, as they aim to create an environment that inspires and satisfies curiosity, rather than create a set path or set of paths for the player

I knew some random stuff beforehand from a friend who played HK, but I don’t think i would have struggled that much finding my way to Radiance and getting lost is part of the game, so I don’t think they’ll change it that much as having a bit of mystery and not knowing where to go next is a cool part that they will likely keep imo

Then you go to the black egg and you can fight radiance so it’s not really hidden if you explore everything
