Silksong really isn't taking that long at all. I know this is probably a joke, but I get the impression you're underestimating how difficult it is to make a game on the scale of SS with a team of three people and how long it inevitably takes to do so.
Even AAA publishers who employ hundreds of people and have boatloads of reusable assets will regularly take 5+ years to make a game that's unlikely to be half as polished.
