The fact that they're even updating HK to begin with already means that they have the liberty to stay away from Silksong for a while because it must be in a good spot of development.

This aside, speaking on a game development perspective there are many reasons that both explain why would they do this and that also support the main idea of the video and one of theories as to why SS might be coming out soon.

The fact that they're now giving HK attention after they stopped supporting the game shortly after godmaster is an indicator that they likely are waiting for things like:

• Play testers to finish giving feedback
• Translators finishing game translations
• Code cleanup
• Translation fixes, grammatical fixes
• Etc etc etc

All and all, again, them giving HK focus after full on stopping the games support momentarily to support SS NOW after so long is a clear eyebrow raiser and from a dev standpoint this realistically makes sense and is, well, literally the only logical explanation

I might be a bit late, but yeah Silksong really isn't taking that long at all. It's not unrealistic for a AAA title to take over 5 years to develop even though they're being produced by companies who employ hundreds of people. Silksong obviously isn't a AAA game, but it sure as hell looks like it's going to have the polish of one, and a game on this kinda scale taking a long time when it's only being developed by three people is kind of a given.
