Yeah, I mean if we look at other games that had a lot of time in them and had a lot of effort we can see that it tracks with quality. Think BOTW, the mainline Mario games(most of them), ori and the blind forest, all of those games are great and maybe even genre defining and they took like 5-4 years to develop. Patience pays off in the games industry and even more so when talking about a small team like team cherry. The wait is annoying and long but it just guarantees the gameā€™s quality

It wouldn't make sense if hornet would have the spike balls before silksong, because you see almost no characters using a strange choice of weapon like this (pale lurker is the only one I think uses spike balls similar to hornet's)
the only place this strange weapon of choice would be viable is in Pharloom where everything is mechanically advanced.

I think the dreamers are good gameplay wise
They give you general directions of where to go and explore and give the games are more structured progression, that's not necessarily a positive but I think it's better for new players
