Because her fighting style is similar to hive knights in term of speed

That was actually one of the lore plans TC had planned for Hornet. She was raised by the 3 queens. Birthed by Herrah, Trained by Vespa, and Raised by The White Lady. Nothing came of it in HK, and Ari said in the AMA that he's unsure if its still canon, but her name did come from that
