Silksong just feels so much more dense, populated, and quite frankly alive than Hollow Knight. Environments move, there's multiple villages, more npcs, more dialogue, the npc interactions are a lot more advanced, the quest system adds to a sense of society. Pharloom is definitely alive, the last shouts of a dying kingdom rather than the whispers of a ruined one.
