In silksong, the premise is the citadel but in EDGE they tease that there might even be more to it than that. One of the TC members, I forgot who, said ā€œyouā€™re saying too much!ā€ and the other said ā€œAm I?ā€

i can recommend ori and the blind forest & ori and the will of the wisps. its not as long as hollow knight, but its worth a play if you have the money
i also recommend ender lillies, i havent played it but its very promising from what ive seen so far
if you want more of a platforming one, i would recommend celeste

Another theory I have is "boss crests", basically when you defeat certain bosses you get a crest that gives you a similar build to the boss. We know about the reaper crest, so maybe the reaper is an early bossgrubthink

i kinda pictured the fire rings to be like taboo's off-waves from smash bros brawl, but that means we'd get an in-air dodge (which i do see us getting, as a sort of shade-cloak analogy)
