Well, its the only conclusion we can take. Although because the term "bones" is directly said in text in SS it implies that bones themselves as a concept is not wierd or uncommon in the Hollow Knight world. Obviously there were evidence of bones already in the first game but SS just makes it 200% canon that bones are prominent in that world.

hornet's gonna invent the internet, and that's how the quest log system gets upgraded from the noticeboards to being kept track of in the menu. In the menu, she's just checking her emails. Just like a normal inbox, you can flag certain quests, delete ones you don't want to complete, or mark a sender as spam if you don't want to receive any more quests from them.
In silksoul mode, the "internet" upgrade will be available from the get-go, and in its place hornet will develop a crypto-currency for pharloom. The deep dock workers will still be miners, but instead be mining for crypto-coins. This will allow hornet to take a pseudo pacifist route through silksoul mode, convincing traditional enemies that there is a future for themself in crypto mining and holding. The downside of bringing more miners along for the cause, is inflation of course. Hornet's own crypto currency coins (the name of the coin is: "Buzz-Shaw") being worth less and less in the long, forces you to invest in various pharloom stocks and bonds in order to make interest that matches or exceeds the rate of inflation. be warned, though, as every bond you buy will empower the group that you bought the bond from. This decision making and these trade-offs will create a unique silksoul experience

I forgot to throw this in there, but as your crypto currency picks up hype, others will try to create their own coins to compete with Buzz-Shaw. It's up to you to either shut them down if they're illegitimate (looking at you, Grindle-Bucks), or promote the creation of a competitive crypto market within pharloom, phasing out the more traditional rosarie beads.
Additionally, silksoul mode will feature a space program side quest, where hornet can use her crypto (if she's played her cards right and becomes a supremely wealthy bug) to fund the building of a shuttle that will take her to Samus, and allow her (hornet) to play through the events of metroid dread. If this side quest is completed, when playing metroid dread, the switch will check your silksong save data and add hornet to Dread's final boss, where she'll come to samus' aid, allowing samus to dream-blast the boss in the head, and fight the true final boss, the moon from majora's mask
if you've linked your nintendo account and have a save file of majora's mask on the 3ds, when you next visit romani ranch, romani will attack you for preventing her from finally getting to try romani reserve. how she was transcendantally aware of the majora's mask timeloop, no one knows, but her attacking you will cause your save file to corrupt, so rip your majora's mask save
if you manage to un-corrupt your save file, the next time you open it, romani will whisper to you the release date of team cherry's next game, which happens to be silksong. You might be wondering: wait? doesn't this all imply silksong was already out? no. this is a complex timeline we're living in
