mio has dynamic lighting with paint that shifts and changes according to the 3d environment and parallax, while also perfetly blending color together

the dynamic crosshatching not only works to shade but also convey shape and 3d because the lines shift on different angular

the devs managed to balance composition and focal points with an extremely busy background using colors effectively, so that not only are you pleased if you stop and look at the background but also helps to not distract from core gameplay

need i mention outlines and how beautiful they are? i cant believe they made the outline colors dynamic too, to not only highlight saturation of colors but to also convey lighting futher because the game doesnt have basic shadows

also ive noticed the excellent color usage in so many areas, like how the the true final boss arena, although mainly blue, has a LOT of orange highlights to tie everything in together without distracting from the visual identity of the area

now imagine this but across the entire game, in areas like dark rooms, in massive set pieces, in completely grayscale areas and in very vibrant areas, etc
