Since I use it to keep combos going, I usually hit the boss 3 times or so at the start of the fight and then start using the cross stitch to extend combos and hit more often, so it feels kinda self sustainable.

Another thing about it using Silk is that it makes the Cross Stitch, like the other skills, somewhat high risk high reward, since you are sacrificing what could be a heal for extra damage. I really like the mechanic
