Sure, but you have to be carrying the parry ability always for that to be true. The attack parry is available no matter what. Sometimes dodge and slash isn't an option. Parry is a fantastic option to have on hand at any time and there's no question. And again, it's plenty doable on purpose.

Reaper has the easiest pogo and easiest dash attack for aerial mobility.
Hunter is a standard all-rounder that's easy to understand and use, and gets better later.
Witch has a fantastic single-target pogo that can spit out damage quickly and has good range on pretty much every attack.
Wanderer is fast and doesn't alter trajectory on the pogo slash, which can be very useful for smoothening out general movement.
Architect is great at tool builds.
Shaman has ranged attacks and allows multiple silk skills at once, which if you're building silk constantly, is great due to having options open for all situations.
Beast is able to do consistent high dps with normal attacks/tool buffs. Great for aggressive playstyles.

weird, it worked for me. I sat in the water and only left it to attack him when he surfaced close to me (only doing 1 hit before leaving) and after he tried a succ attack. The only thing you have to dodge like that is the explosive projectiles so one doesn't land on your head (if they land in the water, they dont explode and just disappear)

When you upgrade hunter crest, if you do 6 hits without damage you go into a "focused mode" which increases your damage per hit.

If you upgrade it again to lvl three, then you also get another damage boost for 12+ hits without damage.
