No ending stops Hornet from being captured, and the ability to break seals with bugs from Pharloom makes Hornet being locked in the Black Egg not an issue. Dreamers also don’t die when sealed, we simply didn’t have the means to remove them without killing them.

Here's just my personal take on it; I think if the hollow knight was pure it would've already been the Godseeker attuned form in the hall of gods. I believe the only thing holding it back was the idea instilled. I don't see any other reason why the hollow knight wouldn't have been that powerful when it literally has no emotion or any visible weakness whatsoever, and maybe the only thing that could stop it was the God of Gods or just something a little stronger than the Pure Vessel. Controller is very comfortable for me playing HK. I don't struggle with movement controls or pogoing or anything like that. I never miss jumps or, go too high, too low, have my trajectory off. I can space myself correctly in boss fights so I don't slam head first into the boss
