phase 1 mithrix, he starts out like normal, he has 5 attacks: the hammer smash, afaik this one does the most damage out of all of his skills/attacks in phase 1, this attack takes some time to wind up, therefore it can be avoided, its only a real threat if you happen to walk into it, which could happen more times than one would like to admit, afterwards he'll spin his hammer in preparation for his next move. his second attack is the hammer swing, he does a simple hammer swing without any warning, this wont do as much damage but this could send the player flying into the sky or somewhere, his third skill is simply dashing, he has 2 charges of the dash ability, he can dash a bit after the hammer swing, but not after the smash attack. after the dash though he wont be able to move for a very short while, but this doesnt matter as much. his fourth skill lets him launch into the sky, then after a few seconds he will come smashing down exactly into the center of the arena creating a shockwave. his fifth "attack/skill" replaces his primary/first attack while sprinting (yes he can sprint), he can fire 12 homing needles in the player's direction while sprinting.
(im not sure if his attacks cause cripple in phase 1 but i think the shockwave causes cripple)

after he runs out of health in phase 1, the fight will move onto phase 2. i dont know the technicalities of this phase, but i'll explain it briefly. he will flee from the battle for a bit, and the lunar chimeras will take his place. if you arent familiar with the lunar chimeras, there is the exploder, which will shoot orbs that damage the player and upon death it will cover a small portion of the floor with a highly damaging lingering AoE zone for several seconds. then there is the golem, which is one of the tankiest monsters, iirc it has the second highest hp out of any enemy in the entire game. it will charge up and give a sound cue for its attack, then launch a barrage of orbs towards the player's direction. after all the lunar chimeras are defeated, the battle will move onto phase 3. mithrix is back into town baby, with his Hale's Own Unusual Lunar Hammer costing 180 keys. unfortunately he's not here to sell it, he's here to KILL you with that thing. his attacks are changed in various ways, however the most noticable change is that all of his attacks cause the Cripple effect on the players. the cripple effect will reduce the player's armor by 60 (verify please) and reduce their movement speed by about -30%. onto his attacks, his hammer smash attack is powered up, the wind up and wind down phases are still there but once the hammer hits the ground, the hammer will create a shockwave in mithrix's direction, the shockwave will also cause the cripple effect on the player. also, the hammer creates a pillar that the player can phase through but the pillar will deal damage to the player, but really, it's not that much of a threat. his second attack, the hammer swing, so far i havent noticed any changes in this attack. nothing has changed in his dash either, his homing needles cripple the player. the most noticable thing is after he uses the skill in his special slot (that being the launch-into-sky-then-come-smashing-down-with-a-shockwave attack, it will be replaced by a NEW attack. this attack is famously known as the "pizza" attack because of how the pillars are shaped like how you would slice a pizza. he summons 9 pillars that spin either clockwise or counterclockwise, and he repeats this attack 5 times in a row. the spin direction is also random each time. during this attack however, he cannot do anything else, so he will take all of the damage and do nothing like the big buffoon he is. afterwards this skill slot is replaced by the old shockwave attack.

after that phase is dealt with, he will move onto his last phase, phase 4. he will steal ALL of your items, one by one (some specific items are blacklisted like Spare Drone Parts but not Empathy Cores. he has a specific list of blacklisted items with only one actual item in it, the rest are hidden items, and the items that the enemies in general cannot use or get). he will be completely immune to all damage during the start of this phase, however if he takes too long picking up items, he will speed up picking up items but he will stop being invulnerable so you can deal some damage with whatever items you have left. on this phase, his movement speed is SEVERELY reduced, his health is also severely reduced (for good reasons, because, at the start of phase 4 you'll have 0 items). he only has 2 attacks. while walking, he'll fire 12 needles in your direction. since this is his PRIMARY attack, this also means he can activate the shuriken item effect, meaning this can also activate runald's band / kjaro's band, which can outright kill you in one shot. you'll have to take EXTREME care in this fight, hiding behind pillars is strongly advised. in his secondary attack/skill, he will kneel down into the ground and send several orbs on the ground flying in a clockwise direction (i think). this attack also hurts himself. now onto the most important thing, as you damage mithrix, you will get your items back, one by one. this also means his self damaging attack will cause him to give back some of your items.

to get really technical, i looked into the wiki just for this, he will use his secondary attack ONLY IF HIS HEALTH IS BELOW 90%. meaning you can just damage him till he drops to 90% and you can just run away as he kills himself slowly but surely. until that, you'll have to survive his onslaught while he has all of your precious items. once he dies, he'll slowly disintegrate, and the moon detonation sequence will begin. after that, you escape through the rescue ship and win
