but like she's 100% a weaver so why does she not look like them at all
- probably, they were a tribe and had both males and females
- maybe? though I tend to think of the AC as pre-dating everything - there's tablets at the top of Hallownest's Crown that resemble AC stuff moreso than moth stuff (no sign of Essence imagery anywhere)
it's a retcon, basically - originally, she didn't have a direct connection to the Weaver tribe, so she wasn't designed to resemble them
they change even her character design for Silksong to be different from her original one
the difference in appearance is never explained
Furthermore, those tablets are white, and white is more associated with the soul. And what ancient civilization is associated with the soul? The AC
But speaking of tables...
I invite you to go to the table located before the entrance to Hallownest
Turn up the volume
Besides the wind, they might hear something else
Something like a whisper
Similar to that generated when a soul spell is cast
What mean this?
But wait, so if those tables are from the AC...
What mean this so?
The AC view the conflict between Rad and PK?
the AC seemingly disappeared before PK came to Hallownest, and we don't know what interactions they might have had with Rad
Hlo everyone
Gou know the yt channel ccmaci? Yeah i know yk. I like his simple editing and how he portray a place in portrait mode. Whatevrr, the thing is he discusses......why not team cherry explain or team cherry really made the lore that way?
How did you measure the height?
This bindings may have lore on yt channel ccmaci whicb im watching rn
Her appearance changed ?
Also does she have a consistent amount of limbs now ?
But yeah it is kinda funny to look back on everyone a few months ago saying « well we don’t know if hornet is a weaver or a spider »
- Well most definitely they could as the seer mentions her ancestors
and crimes long forgotten etc
so the moths would have produced many generations
the AC civilization came before all o hallownest
and any other civilization
Not just hallownest
it came long before the mantis tribe or any other tribe
same as with ||pharloom||
this is just fanon as it can get
Like we're using pixel measurements
PIXELS

also using the statement of her being capable of throwing up to 30 yards is baffling
Like back then the Hollow knight was supposed to have dream nail dialogue
and the knight was actually supposed to be pure
and dryya was supposed to have a boss fight
this is a world with no humans, where the standard of everything are bugs
so just use the human average
of bugs like husk bully being like 160 cms or smth
and the knight like 150 cms or smth along those lines
idk if this is the proper conclusion here
the "average" should emerge from hallownests worldbuilding, not ours
did it ?
I mean yeah it is super old, but the moth also predate hallownest
I don't think it particularly makes much sense to ponder the exact timeline of the two civs, but I don't see any explicit in game reasoning that would justify that the moth and AC could not have existed at the same time
though I suppose the AC likely wouldn't have been happy knowing of the existence of a civ created by rad, cuz rad and void don't like each other
-# a war between moth and AC is completely unsubstantiated but would make for a cool fanon thing to explore lol
-# I like the water droplet theory more anyways smh, im more keen to believe the laws of physics are the same in both universes
there are no actual measurements in hollow knight
But it's pretty clear that if we were to compare them to actual humans they'd be around the same size
at least the average bug of hallownest anyhow
ehem... ||what about the bird on mount fay?||
what about thm
we got hegemol who's the same size as that bird
and a bee that's the size of two entire backrounds
we literally got the craws
we literally ave a ant that's nearly the size of said bird you're referring to
Hey so uh ||the abyss creature ||still hasnt been seen again and im getting very worried because ||sea of sorrow seems to be lifeblood related|| so if we go there in|| act three ||whats gonna happen im scared im scared
Wait thats for sk lore sorry
Wait no its for both
I guess i didn't think about that
if I banish the troupe do I stop the cycle for good or do I only save brumm
you banish tehm from hallownest
How do you do spoiler
you don't need to do spoilers on hollow knight stuff
also to answer your question
no there isn't any lore significance to it
she's just supposed to showcase somebody getting infected live
Makes sense
Wait, is all of Hollow Knight underground? Because there is no light source like the sun. Maybe the “surface” is just one big cave. I know, I know, “But there is weather up there!” MAYBE ITS UNDERGROUND BECAUSE AS IN REAL LIFE, CAVES CAN CHANNEL WIND FROM OUTSIDE.
i mean i heard somewhere that it is all underground
including dirtmouth
That’s what i mean’t
WHAT IS THE BEST ||CHARM SET|| TO FIGHT ||RADIENCE ||OMG!!
that would be a hk-help question but strength is a really important one
yeah
only underground bug kingdoms, forever~!
except POSSIBLY mount fey
that's also underground iirc
( what does iirc mean again )
'if i recall correctly'
and Fay is below the level of Pharloom's 'surface'
so I say 'no!'
no sun, no sky!
only underground, forever~!
You speak like a priest preaching to pilgrims about how pharloom is the only safe haven in a baren underground world
...that's also underground
that's not below the surface
AS ONE MIGHT BE ABLE TO VIEW VIA BIOLOGICAL LENS I HAVE ALREADY BEEN INFORMED OF SUCH INFORMATION TWICE!
I do still like the possibility
that the lands serene
are the ACTUAl surface
Yk the abyss is the deepest parts of the world
lands serene the highest
I hope you get what I'm trying to say
I hear you. For my part, I imagine this world as literally just underground forever
like an elemental plane of caves and bugs, not some dumb round planet like our boring world, so there literally would be no surface
go deep enough and it's Void forever
maybe if you go high enough... I don't know, you end up in the dream realm? That's the 'sky' of this world?
You can enter the dream realm from the waking world (like the Lifeblood Chamber in the Abyss) so maybe that gets more common in some places?
maybe that's the case for the lands serene as well, a land where the 'first light' touched the world
the dream realm is stated to be a whole different thing
there's an entire "veil" between the waking and dream realm
that's fair yeah
yeah, and I don't mean to suggest you could get there just by crossing distance in a mundane way
but more like... if that veil has holes in it, like the Lifeblood Chamber, you'd find more holes in certain places
eventually the veil is so thin and frayed, that both realms just bleed together
ahh
If we are talking about the same thing... the dream realm can be its own realm and a real place like land of storms is a real place but we access it through godseeker's dreams
Speculation but in order for you to convey the real place you must have a vessel for it such as the godseeker's helm
???
I still don't know what you're trying to say
places in the dreamworld DO NOT have to be places that are not real
The Land of Storms we see is a memory from the GodSeeker.
what about the area above Pharloom that we first see in godseeker's memory
where the godseeker built a godtuner from carapace
First off spoiler tag Silksong stuff.
Second its fully possible that its not the same area.
The surrounding area outside of it is entirely different.
thats why above i said speculation
and do areas in places with weather not change over time?
||An entire town won't dissappear then reappear due to some weather.||
wdym
an entire town
The ||Nameless Town just off to the right of the Silksong cave.||
No.
Because its likely a different region.
alright since neither is confirmed i will listen to you
and it only looks similair because of reused assets
what does this even mean
in order to retain entire places in a memory you must have a vessel/container for it. such as godhome being inside the godseekers helmet
So I relate
..........
what is a container in this context
hmm
godhome is not in their helmet
like a fully detailed city in your mind?
it's in their mind/s
Almost all of the characters are capable of doing that
also the wyrm/pale king gives knowledge for bugs in his kingdom. the godseeker is not from hollownest
what
i didn't insinuate the latter
she does not have the cognitive ability to do that
he expands the minds of bugs in hallownest to have human intelligience
._. pharloom
lands serene
false, she had higher thought before coming to the kingdom
city of steel
there's a memory where you can encounter her in the wastes
i know
i was already proven wrong up here
and this says speculation
Vessel is the container, radiance is the mnm
Technically only 3 vessels were required to kill the radiance
The Hollow Knight to allow access to the radiance in the dream realm
The Knight to dreamnail the Hollow Knight
And the Greenpath vessel to get dash
the dash isn't required iirc
...
you need dash for shade cloak for white frag from white lady
Well who’s the chocolate then🧐
There isn’t a chocolate
It’s an mnm and a jar
Over an empty background
Well wouldn’t that make the radiance the chocolate and the vessel the shell
Hmm
Ok
The shell is the vessel, the chocolate is the radiance, and the jar is the black egg temple.
Pleasure doing business🤝
@pseudo light stop
This is my understanding of THK lore but the whole point of putting this here is to cmiiw
THK larped purity, it was always vulnerable to infection, but nobody knew.
PoP Idea Instilled was proof that it wasn't pure
Radiance took advantage of that fact that THK never was pure, not the fact it had a thought, rather the ability to have a thought
THK def had a thought beforehand
Yea that's just something that comes with being alive
The exact specifics of purity are kinda nebulous and don't really matter but its true that it was always vulnerable to Rad
yeah this is more or less correct
And it's "impure" emotions to the pale king at end of the path of pain
We don't know what or how THK feels towards PK
no, because not only do we not know what THK was thinking in that moment, it's not even necessarily what made them fail
It is the reason proof that THK was impure
We dont even really know what makes someone impure. It was just the PK and THK staring at each other. The only time we can really know someone is impure is if they fail at keeping the Radiance permanently sealed.
proof, not reason
Hey have you guys ever think about an alternate universe where The Knight somehow got themselves a bazooka and use it to fight enemies?
wow you understood what my sentence meant congratulations
are you high
Idk man I just found some weird mushrooms in Fungal Waste and ate them
Ok maybe im high
share?
Ok
