Void given fart
There
Grimpooper lets get you to bed
Lord of Shades
They can die to other beings that are VGForm, the Void itself can't kill them
The Tendrils technically could kill a Vessel
how
but it is extremely unlikely
they can definitely kill eachother
theres also the fact that they may be "absorbed" into the void
added to the conglomerate
that is literally literally what I just said
The Void is the Liquid
Void Given Form are the Tendrils
the Vessels are also Void Given Form
so
whats the difference exactly?
like how does this matter
the void given form killed the pale king
You are saying the Void
there
š£ļø "it"
...no???
alright time for actually palying sk/hk now
Actually, elaborate
still on pantheon 2/3
2/5
ya, I lowkey struggled with him more than markoth š

markoth was lowkey a struggle
the essence collection shit was bullshit imo
G'day
is glaze banned here
ok good
Theory B is just saying that the void managed to escape its bounds temporarily before killing the kingmould that contians the white castle (the one WE dreamnail to access the dream white castle) before entering and killing the pale king
As to theory A thereās a reason why the Kingsmoulds are dripping with void
The imprint that coalesced them likely deactivated
The ones we fight have āDefendā and āKillā but those might have had āProtectā or something pertaining to to PK still being alive
And the void particles are coming from their corpses
In a similar way the Kingsmould guarding the palace would deactivate when the palace was no longer there
The void we see on Kingsmoulds is their own
I think team cherry did not want us to analyze ts that deeply
the void killed the pale king, evidence of which is shown by the void particles in the room, and the entire room being darkened.
IMO its simple as that
You still believe Void killed PK?
was there some huge revelation on this topic? i always thought void killed pk is there any other explanation
Not really, death still as ambigous as it has always been
fair honestly
I just personally dont see how itd be possible for it to be void
So it just surprised me a bit that they fully believe it
in hindsight i dont think void particles were really ever confirmed to be dangerous
unless im forgetting something
Void is dangerous, Void particles are void
The connection is there
I just dont really think theyd be able to affect beings that are not in the weaker side of the world, let alone someone as powerful as PK
yes
I doubt we'll ever actually find out tho
Thatās very good evidence that void is in the room
The fact that he doesnāt have the one surefire indicator of void death is pretty telling though
If TC is telling us not to analyze his death super hard as you say
Occamās razor applies
well when you kill a kingsmould in game
they dont just fall to the ground and grow void tendrils
what do you suggest killed them
and the pale king
The Kingsmoulds?
Their imprints deactivated after their duties were fulfilled
PK likely wasted away in grief/let himself die
so you're telling me he went through the effort of moving his entire white palace into someone's dream just to go and waste away
then why are a few of them still alive?
Different imprints
yes, because he gave up after trying everything he could think of and still failed
Defend and Kill arenāt really things that stop
You can always defend and kill while thereās something to defend
defend what is the question: the kingsoul?
or the king?
Well for the one out front probably the palace
Which explains why thereās a deactivated one in the real world and an activated one in the dream
what abou the ones in the path of pain?
they didn't physically exist because PoP was never a physical place
they'realive to defend the memory?
yes
so your theory is that the white palace is meant to effectively be a mausoleom of sorts?
whatsd the topic?
Probably not on purpose
He may have fled out of impulse or just to be safe and alone with his thoughts
And then sunk into his sadness
when you give elderbug the everbloom he can say "This flower you gave me... when dark thoughts creep into my head I gave at it and think of you." this could hint that void comes from bugs emotions, and the everbloom is displacing the void in elderbug's mind making him happy again
void is from regrets ong
PK killed himself
suinsecticide
It's also possible PK died from malnourishment, as the ubereats people could not get past all the death traps
he likely didn't need to eat
and ubereats people can't be deterred that easily, they're professionals
sound reasoning, to be fair
my preferred view was always that PK just sort've withered away in despair
like, when a god gets depressed, that can just happen - their power turns inwards and they snuff themselves
I'm open to the idea that, in his despair, PK might have allowed the Void to punch his ticket, basically using what was in his throne room kingsmoulds as a suicide weapon
but I think that's an unnecessary complication - the moulds could just have broken with his death and leaked the Void you see in the throne
I don't go for theories about the Void actively invading WP from outside and seeking him out, because without some immediate and present unifying element the Void doesn't really do that sort of thing
Would it be confirmation bias to say void doesnāt appear in dreams unless brought there by someone powerful and specifically intending for it to be so
In the two instances where it happens thatās what it is
that could depend on the scale
the lighthouse retainer mentions a call from the sea, which sounds like Void invading their thoughts
something similar might have happened in the Love Key Bug/Collector thing
Man who knows what that is
āTurn it offā
Void just does everything once and then it becomes an inherent quality
thats because we dont know that much about the void funnily enough
how did some of the vessels get out of the abyss if PK closed off the entrance
is that an impossible question to answerš
But the white palace as a whole is a physical place that exists in dreamworld which is a metaphysical realm. Hence the deaths count as real ones. Same goes to Radiance fight as well. The dreamers who die in dream world also vanish in real world.
I don't think PoP wouldn't be real construct either since all 3 rooms in wp are full of buzzsaws
And there is a lore tablet at the beginning of the path
I think that the white palace is PKās custom world where it exist in dream realm. Dreams are different than dream realm because dream realm is a place above physical worlds and dreams are just⦠Thoughts of a bug when they sleep i think
me when I contain a metapyschical god within my brain tissue:
lmfao
theory - are the bugs racist to radiance?
they hate the color orange and supports normal skin
BAHAHAHAHA
i think that pale king legally created racism to the radiance
Also, Pale King has to be sleeping somewhere in Hallownest for White Palace to be real, because it's in the dream realm.
why would the bugs switch from radiance to PK?
obviously
because PKāS WHITE
nah he just used a lil wee bit of mind control
(not canon)
theory - is the radiance dr*gs?
Void civilization to radiance because radiance is white
Radiance to pk because pk is white and a man
as yes is the radiance drugs
what is this, a DELTARUNE theory
damn, thought my theory was a BIG SHOT
hes dead.
Radiance just gets shredded by buzzsaws
peaceful death while dreaming
Does Radiance just..NOT CHOOSE TO INFECT PK???
In a scrapped dialougue PK has said āFalse one, you cannot reach me here.ā
but team cherry decided for PK to be more reflective on his actions
not that team cherry thought its wrong
so in sort could PK be infected
yes he can but hes built different
No because pk is a higher being
oh
Also no evidence of it
so higher beings cant be infected!
how the fuck
Does that shit work
zombie infection
What...Is the infection anymore? How in Biology DOES THAT SHIT WORK
Is it a neruax worm?
its like you heat gas into a meta state of solid and liquid ( like jelly )
I know it's metapyschical but just HOW
murder this guy
The infection doesn't spread.. Psychically..........
kill me
god damnit my TV is trying to hypnotize me again
what if the infection is just controlled by a plague inc game with a custom disease type with no randomness and it's just chosen by the player on a tv screen in the dream realm lol @whole arrow
lol
magic
Did the pale king have game
You get sick in your dream, then get sick irl, but id guess youd know better than us
Bro pulled a gargantuan tree wife. Bro had game
She was normal size at the time tho
Bro pulled a shapeshifting tree wife. Bro had game.
Well not shape shifting, I'd say she just got fat (or grew, as trees tend to do)
Theres information that tells us she does it on purpose
She has a lot of variety in her all the forms we see of her
What forms other than nursery imprint and in modern day do we see?
theory - hollow knight grew in size because hes part tree
We see her in the cacoon, in godhome, and in ||silksong||, where she varies in size.
Yeah the nursery one is way too small compared to the others
So? She can literally change size, so i dont think it matters all that much
I believe that this is so
https://atwotonedbird.tumblr.com/post/806265281339113472/how-to-grow-your-vessel
lol
WHO WINS?
The prime version of the absolute radiance, infecting hallownest and its nearby innocent citizens. A god of its own realm and one a higher being couldnāt even escape from!
OR!
a baldur shell charm.
this is pretty obvious for me
Probably, unless it is some magic seals that keep her there, but i dont see why she wants to
Hi
Hi
radiance
she has a seal of binding on her
it only appears when you use spells iirc
I remember but i think thats probably for protection. Her bindings seem physical. But im open to the idea that the seal is what keeps her there
theres a theory that the seal is what keeps her from changing size to escape
I personally doubt it, but i can understand where its coming from
The pale king did nothing wrong

He did sone morally questionable stuff, but he is ultimately the good guy in the situation
Iām glad there are still true hallownest patriots around
If everybody in Hallownest dies no one can remember the Radiance
So any kingdom-destroying force can defeat the Radiance
wrong
it isnt
which doesnt matter
with enough skill
why didnāt the knight get infected in the entire process of becoming the hollow knight
before the knight became infected of course
Cus hollow
thats bs
It's not
The hollow knight also would've been immune to the radiance if he was neglected
Ok
Me when beens
From my understanding Vessels canāt really get infected by normal means. Broken Vesselās corpse was puppeted by light seeds and THK is only really infected because they have the fucking Radiance in their head.
No, not you when beans.
Was dung defender infected
No.
The Defender was not Infected, as you can see he has white eyes, not orange. He just challenges The Knight due to mistaking it for a Husk.
So he was not neglected
btw if you hit an enemy and they emit white particles instead of orange, they're not infected
this is true for many uninfected enemies like grimm and dung/white defender and infected enemies like uumuu, false knight, and all of the infected husks
of course i could name many more but i'm too lazy to check
iirc there's a counterexample to this
False Knight doesn't count because you're hitting the armor
Uumuu is already dead
the maggot inside false knight counts
so are all the infected husks
How do you guys inerpret Uumuu's dream nail dialogue?
I personally see it as the Radiance blinding Uummuu and convincing them that they can "free" Monomon.
I still wonder why only Hornet and the Knight can use benches to respawn
And what do the enemies feel like when the person they kill keeps coming back again and again
It's not technically canon that they respawn, and a theory that I like is that they inherited PK's wyrm foresight and that's why it looks like they're walking up when they respawn
I just assume respawn isnt canon
Then how do u explain the shade thingy that the knight leaves behind
Gameplay
The only thing I see wrong with Foresight theory is that events they do BEFORE they die remain, Stag moving from stations for example
And it's also not like that other characters cannot see the shade thingy cuz the collector traps ur shade if u die fighting him
Cool gameplay thing
Ye
The thing about "Respawn theory" is that it doesnt really make good sense when put to analyze
Why can TKs shell operate without shade? Why does it gain a new shade if it dies again shadeless?
Maybe enemies see you as different people but NPCs just see you as the same person? Like some sort of seal?
Seems like a stretch
imo
Ik I'm just pulling stuff out of where the sun don't shine at this point lmao
Otherwise Steel Soul is the canon version
Which is likely apart from the exclusive characters but whatever, they can be here too
Not like it really changes anything
Tuk is just dead I guess
Normal soul is also canon TK just doesnāt die.
Both are probably equally canon, at least when it comes to the extra characters in steel soul
Steel Soul Jinn is very important
Guys u know how some siblings(the shades) got out of the abyss and shortly died later, then how tf did zote survive?
Shades are canon, respawning is not
Zote isnāt a vessel.
Oooooooooooo
Then was he one of the pale king's creations?
No.
Heās a common bug.
I think he was just a random bug
Probably
no, he's not from the kingdom or region
I was thinking something though it is a bit of a stretch
That maybe the distinction of Pale Beings within Higher Beings stands for Higher Beings who bring some sort of enhanced progress/development/improvement on bugs
PK did that
Yeah that's why im saying
What im saying
Maybe non-pale higher beings are more like Unn, who brought green throughout pre-Hallownest
Pale king did nothing wrong
ye
Great leader but terrible plan to address the infection
I mean it was the only plan he saw that might work. It was all he had left.
Foresight
Gotta remember the guy had Precognition. He likely foresaw countless possible ends to the Infection, but they all ended in failure. The Pure Vessel plan was the only thing he likely saw with even a remote possibility of succeeding.
Maybe
Since the Void is an old enemy of Radianceās and the one power that is her better.
Conceptually not a bad plan
void to isolate her in the dream expanse and an empty being that cannot be swayed
It was a heartless plan
I'm behind this all btw
i don't think he was aware THK had emotions
I doubt he sacrificed hundreds of his own children, and didn't feel anything about it, it's clear that however he felt, by the end, his own ideals rang hollow
Giving any credit to TKs sucess (In 2 endings) to PK is a stretch imo
It was desperation. I doubt he could've used any other bugs than his own children, otherwise their shells wouldn't have been strong enough
Yes PK did indeed make TK exist I guess
I said somewhere here today. Pale king did some questionable stuff, but he is ultimately the good guy in the situation
Yeah
the only problem was that the hollow knight was well
not truly hollow
thats not necessarily a problem for the conceptual strength of the plan
I'm saying that's why it didn't work
joker is just saying that the concept of the plan isnt bad - we know it didnt work, the discussion is if the premise itself is good or not
although i would say it is not conceptually strong
the plan was flawed because vessels couldnt be hollow
pkās whole thing was that he fell to his hubris
yes, and as a result the plan is at best rationally strong, not conceptually
I think PK had the right scientific idea
Imprints allow void to be locked in place
If you could lock void in place with the blank mind of a fetus youād have a clean slate
Instead you got infinite growth potential š
he was very close but essence imprints the mind and soul imprints will
Wdym
I feel like thereās not a strong distinction because of how closely related essence and soul are
It was a good plan, but he should've anticipated the hollow knight developing feelings for him
Thatās not why it failed.
Also how would he have anticipated it?
you know what happens when you assume
does the pale king not have foresight?
or supposedly
Yes. But thatās not how it works.
explain
He can see the future(to some extent), not read minds and see emotions.
oh, your talking bout the hk having feelings for him, yes that he couldnt predict but id assume he knew that the infection would come some how
Before or after he started the vessel project?
after
there must be limits to his foresight, otherwise he probably would've built Hallownest somewhere else in the first place
somewhere without an angry moth god
would've saved everyone a lot of trouble
the failure of THK may have been outside the limit of his sight
fair point
it worked for a while before failing
his foresight we know very little about so that does sound plausable
the big shroom in the fungal core says "Pale Wyrm, what good to foresaw an unavoidable doom?"
basically, you might see a death coming, but if you can't do anything to change it then it'll get you no matter what
that makes sense
Is zote a vessel?
No.
i had assumed the pale king knew of the collapse of his kindom
no
he is the goat tho
cough anyway
gote
fr
If zotes a vessel, im king of mars
No
At some point he likely saw it before it actually happened.
Is zote greyroot child
Maybe
it's an honor, King Abraham Lincoln
No
No silksong lore here I think

we dont know
This guy here knows ball

I'm against any theory that has Zote be anything important or interesting
Where then
gng
wtf is this
Only place zote would be strong is dream realm
Idk I stole it
ok..

zote could def solo godhome
In his dream maybe.
Im convinced shade lord is not lord of void but lord of the shades (shocking I know)
What I mean by that is shadelord controls the siblings
It controls the Void.
Zote couldn't solo a tiktik
they render the void tendrils passive too
it's all Void
Unifies the Void under the bearerās will.
But (silksong reference I have to make a point) ||the knight has to slash away the tendrils instead of just stopping them||
In cutscene
Just realized my bad
but yeah, we don't know what's up with that (bad writing maybe)
Could just be for coolness
Yes but ||afterwards the Void starts behaving.||
Maybe thatās why
The knight is like an abusive parent
would have been cooler ||if the tendrils just stopped cold right before hitting Hornet, and then backed away shivering in terror||
Gets it from its father(joke)
With the eyes of the knight slowly fading in
lol
TK has a habit smacking things tho.
Like their brother
Or the Radiance.
I donāt think Grimmchild is gonna be the troupe master
We see a swarm of Grimm children in the poster art of the dlc
Perhaps they look for kingdoms on their own
Those ones are the smaller form iirc. Only our Grimmchild gets the scarlet flame and ya know the Nightmare Heart.
They looked at least half grown to me
Maybe ours is special cause they grt more flame
More fat for the child
what's the topic
Even if so, thereās only one Nightmare Heart, which our Grimmchild gets(this assumes there even are more than one Grimmchild).(which there might not be btw)
Just scroll up a bit
||yeah that's a potential inconsistency/contradiction||
They donāt get the heart they just get some special nightmare heart juice
Prob
Oh
Hm, a living scarlet flame.
yep
I wonder what it could beā¦
it's a living scarlet flame because it's an essence construct
I wonder why Grimmchild is a charm them
Which itās containing. Which could really only be the Nightmare Heart.
Probably ritual/game convenience.
Salubra states charms are a dead bugs dying wish
Some are that.
Others are manufactured.
Some are plucked from dreams like Dream Wielder.
It would make sense if grimmchild didnāt get to stay with us though
Itās possible that the Grimmchild charm we get is just a way to call Grimmchild to us, since itās a symbol of a completed ritual.
Grimmchild actually spends most of its time with the Grimm troupe perchance.
Maybe, what would happen if the grimmchild turn out to be the troupe master
Portable troupe master?
Chances are heāll stop appearing when the charm issued.
On second thought portable troupe master is pretty dope.
Maybe thatās what those scavenger bugs take with them, once they find the kingdom they call for the troupe master and the whole troupe comes with him
The ones that set up the lantern thing?
Those just set up lanterns, not bringing a charm with them.
The lantern could just be a bigger version of such charms
Idk
Charms are weird
Woe, magic circle pendant be upon thee.
That for some reason makes you give birth
Fuck you, your organs are blue now.
Fuck you, your nail is heavy
The charm adds tungsten to the nail prob
Tungsten ballsack?
Lead perchance?
Testicular tortion
What
im sorry to hear that
Power word scrunch.
Horf what are your thoughts on testicular tortion
Not fun
Wouldnāt recommend really.
never tried the product

1/5, rather get the flu again.
oh
its that bad
wow
ig im not trying that
what about testicular cancer
it looks pretty good
Eh, itās still pretty bad.
Can we talk lore now
Early male pattern baldness.
ooo
Horf
Do people still think PK was a bad king?
Yes?
who cares
better than pharloom
I do.
Lets talk monarchflies
Dont
Dude Iām a vessel, thatās literally my dad.
I live in Hallownest, i can say Pale King is tight
i lowkey was the 6th knight trust
Horf you roleplay?
Wow
Jokingly sometimes.
Do better
Vessel nosies
Your supposed to be nonchalant and serious and shit
gr i wish i had nitro
Nitro users flexing the most goofiest stickers imaginable on the lessers
Nitro Flexers Blinding me at 4:38 AM on a Saturday because I decided to open up their profile:
Why is there so much lifeblood in Galiens room when you fight him in hog
I always thought that was how the room always looked but I checked and thereās no lifeblood to be found
No
Pale king is goated
We need a prequel game cause of how goated the pale king is
there's a big lifeblood cocoon above Galien's chamber in Deepnest, probably an allusion to that
(I wonder if lifeblood grows and proliferates more in dream realms?)
I have a question about lore!
Is their any proof of the masks, the heads the playable characters have, being intricately detailed like how the mask shards, pure nail, and soul vessels look
it's hard to tell from the artstyle, but when you gather all of the mask shards you get an entry for a complete mask, described as an 'ancient mask' and they are intricately carved
so I say 'yes'
(even for 'natural' masks like Hornet's)
(wheres it say hornets is natural? could hollownests mask maker not have made it?)
maybe, actually
||we see her as a smol babby in SS and she has her mask||
we are told by the makers that not everyone has a face and so their work is required, which entails that some people have natural faces
I just like the idea that there's no real distinction between natural faces and artificial masks - they're all 'faces/masks'
eh, yeah but if a creature is naturally born maskless they could have commissioned one to be added directly after birth, not necessarily likely but still possible
I do like the idea that pretty much everything is wearing a mask and they are all made by mask makers
logistics be damned
right? otherwise why bro be working so hard. take a break there cant be that many born maskless
not all faces are masks, it depends on the species
i agree. i was agreeing with them that i like the idea its true. not saying it was
who's giving masks to the maskflies (and why?)
for good reasons
now these guys. they need a different mask, whatever one they got must be defective
so... this is interesting. in silksong ||mask maker says "A fine face, yours. Not of my work. Not of this kingdom's craft. Not now at least.
But the deeper form. Distant relationship. Some form of Pharloom and our old, legged, stewards."|| this can be interpretted in a couple ways. "natural" masks are crafted, the same way a human mother crafts a childs face in the womb, or that hollownests map maker crafted it.
the later part makes it seem like ||mask maker|| is saying that the mask is of weaver make
yeah, this is part of what makes me think these bugs don't draw much distinction between natural and artificial faces/masks
the relation to Weavers is part of Hornet's natural face/mask, inherited from Herrah
its like MM perceives the genetic traits of the Weavers, but expresses it in terms of mask-crafting
whether by womb or claw, it's all mask making
yeah, i agree. i still think natual has some good merit here. while not specified explicitly. i do love how the masks seem to work. from how i interpret it, mask makers and anyone else learned in the craft can read your whole life story, just from looking at you. its a book that writes itself by your actions
Who knows why || THK stabs himself mid-fight?||
They're helping the knight to seal the infection
the infection compels THK to obey the will of the Radiance, who is trapped inside them - that's why they are violent towards TK
but they aren't completely under her command, and they still struggle to resist her
when they can resist for a brief moment they attack themselves, possibly in some deluded effort to strike at the Radiance within them
Ohhh, thatās why we have a chance at killing her by having dreamnail and hornet?
dream nail lets you go inside THK to fight Radiance
THK wants Radiance to be defeated
Does THK live after killing Radiance?
depends on the ending
Iāve been trying to kill her forever š
in 2 of them, no
in 1 of them, yes
if you haven't killed her yet, you should do that first and find out
Mākay.
Iām gonna return after 2 years bro.
silksong DLC might be out by then, maybe!
Ts is hard š
I donāt have gamepass ultimate ;-;
Why wonāt zote shut the frick up
Don't..... Need it?
your right that was my reaction
Is the Hunter able to access the dream realm? Because in the Entombed Husk journal entry he says "Inside these shambling corpses is a bright light that pierces any darkness. I peered inside that light once and saw... something within it shining back. Something terrible.". Is he able to access the dream realm to some extent, or is Radiance visible to anyone who looks into the light
No he can't, this just tells us the radiance is visible from infected people if you look deep into them
And if they are infected enough
That's so cool
It's a faker
I'm not nosk YOU'RE NOSK
Well nosk couldn't do this could he
HES NOSK I KNEW IT
he shown his true colors
Or colours
But there is only one vessel with the unique horns of mine
And that'd me
Yeah well I'm older
I think
Wait how old is the Knight?
I guess it'd be as old as the hollow knight?
Yeah just about.
Because they were definitely around the same time so that means that the knight is just always shorter than every other vessel
No matter age
I've been nerfed to be short
Not every other vessel. TK probably just got unlucky with being short. Some are definitely shorter than TK.
Doesn't the knight technically have a mind to think because he changed the goal he was given..he went from containing the infection to changing it to stop it
All vessels have minds.
No they are intended to have no mind
No, they arenāt.
No mind=no place to seal the Radiance in.
If it has no mind there's nothing to control which stops the infection from spreading that's what made THK fail
It literally says it at the beginning
The beginning quote
Yeah but at the beginning it says the knight is infact hollow No mind to think, no voice to cry suffering, no cost too great. He gains his mind the moment he gains the void heart
Atleast that's my theory
was it the hollow knights cry of pain that called the knight out from the wastes or was it radiance?
I feel like it's unlikely to include the wastes as a essential part of the lore just yet cause we don't really know much about it.
The Radiance, a dream Higher Being in the dream realm, needs to be sealed within a mind.
Without a mind there isnāt anywhere to seal it.
Thatās not it. Itās Elegy to Hallownest. Youāre thinking of the Abyss Climb.
Shhhh I'm theorising
Yes, and Iām pointing out how if the Vessels didnāt have a mind then they wouldnāt be able to seal the Radiance.
No.
No shit the Black Egg isnāt a mind?
No it was made to seal the Knight himself
The Temple of the Black Egg. The place where THK is sealed.
āPurestā isnāt a thing.
Itās a binary thing.
Kinda like being dead.
Wait no i was on about the birthplace of the knight in the abyss
Not the black egg I just remembered it's not called that
For that instance youāre using it like a mirror to dream nail TK.
Maybe
How do the dreamers work
Like is it they sacrifice their physical body so that their dreams seal the black egg
Or what is it
Its to seal a vessel.

yess
it was made to seal THK however it can seal any Vessel who attempts to contain Radiance
the Egg doesn't store Radiance
However it didn't work as THK wasn't ACTUALLY pure
the temple doesn't react to a vessel's purity or (in reality) lack thereof
Does NKG have the same move set as THK but faster??
Iāve returned, I beat her at 7:13
Phrased that badly, I meant the entire radiance inside hollow knight plan, not the temple
Yeah
What's the topic?
How do the chains in the egg temple work, i think
Isn't it just like voodoo soul magic?
with ofcourse the Seal of Binding
-# The reason I list them separately is because I'm using the term "voodoo" as a way to say unkown/obscure
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm I think pretty much ANYTHING you do outside the main markers mission IS the knight having a mind
Because
And I really like the Nosk example
If the knight meets Nosk in the regular world, it takes the shape of TK, yet once you do godhome, by the time you get to Nosk, it takes Hornetās shapeā and you don't need Voidheart to access the Pantheon (?)
yeah thats right
what do u think she would have created them with and if so do u think she created them in a special room hidden in the archives so no one could destroy her finest work
Ć
I mean they live all around Fog Canyon
do you think uumu was made intentionally the way they are or a failed creation in monomon trying to protect fog canyon as she is gone into the dream realm
The jellies are likely early experiments with infection
With the added convenience of being walking bombs
Quirrel was already a fairly good safeguard but Monomon pumping Uumuu full of bombs makes sense
What are the larger Uomas
you do need the Void Heart to enter the 5th Pantheon, where Nosk takes Hornet's shape (who knows why, gameplay-wise it's for the absrad fight)
TK and all vessels have minds - PK's line about 'no mind' probably isn't meant to be a literal requirement though
the whole plan was to trap Radiance in a vessel's mind, he wouldn't want a vessel that literally didn't have one
his words are an allusion to some other idea, so vessels showing will and mind etc. isn't a sign that they aren't a pure vessel
Well nosk most likely takes that shape because the knight is expecting hornet
not why, it's because Nosk reads minds
Evolutionarily why would a Nosk need wings, it lives in a tunnel system
A lot of tunnels are even lower than WNosk height with wings
That's like asking who is Bell Crawler from Silksong
I mean PK likely needed something more or less alive to shove the radiance, into ig
it needed to have a mind certainly
Why did the Pale King choose Herrah to be a Dreamer? I can't imagine Deepnest and Hallownest were in good relations with eachother considering how many Weavers were murdered by the mantisā
Wouldn't it have made sense to choose another citizen of Hallownest like Lurien and Monomon?
The dreamers were about getting as much protection for THK as possible so the more spread out they were the better. Plus the PK wanted to improve relations with Deepnest. Also Iām not sure any Weaver corpses were seen at Mantis Tribe Deepnest entrance, even then the Mantis Tribe were pretty separate from Hallownest.
We really have no idea what the criteria for being a Dreamer is. Presumably it couldn't be just anybody.
For whatever reason, he wanted Herrah and was willing to pay the cost of having her.
Hrnt.
Yeah idk I think he just wanted it to be people who would be protected in some form
Watcher Knights, the Monomon mask lock, and Deepnest generally being a place no one wants to be
Which was in knights mind, you know thatās where thoughts start right?
||I would like to know about the five knights of hallownest||
Hegemol died to unknown causes, we see his armor being used by the maggot in the false knight and failed champion fight
Ogrim is the dung defender, prob liked Isma and protects her grave. He refuses to believe the knights have fallen
Isma died and became a tree or something, you see her body in ismas grove. Idk much else
Alr thx
Thereās nore
Thereās a corpse outside of white ladys room, thatās a knight too (I think drya), they died protecting her. The white lady still thinks sheās alive.
And uh the person who gives you the delicate flower is also a knight I forgot her name
Zeāmer
Hegemol got killed in his sleep by a maggot
Isma turned into a clover tree
Ogrim started living in shit
Drya got killed hy mantisis
Zemir got the blues
we don't know if Hegemol is dead or not @desert nebula
hegemol is most likely dead
saying we donāt know is disingenuous
hes lacking his armor (if it wasnāt his literal skin) in the middle of a zombie apocalypse
not to mention the logistics of how the maggot got the armor off of he was supposed still alive the whole time
its not really disingenuous
especially when its in response to a claim that oversteps the certainty by making it absolute, instead of saying its likely that he died
I mean even without the armored shell he was still one of the most renowned warriors in all of Hallownest, borderline peerless save for maybe the Nailmasters themselves.
and hes now missing literally his best defense
and again
Didn't tc say that hegemol might not be able to survive with his arkou? Idk the exact statement
how the hell is a maggot gonna get armor off a giant without waking him up
it just makes no sense
yes i was there when the ancient text was written
Enlighten me on the ancient scriptures

Damn
Can maggots do that
If maggots were capable of all that, then they wouldn't be discriminated against
Zemer dies imo
After her quest
She says something like "che can finally end?"
Mi'? Le'mer, you have done this thing? Is it possible? This world's cruelty, I'd thought it overwhelming, but le'mer, such great compassion. That Che's love would know her partner's heart even aeon past.
Is it that, Le'mer? Such grief, can end? Che' can end?
Ullll, eh nai dear love. Che' too can end.
I thought you two were the same person till I looked at the name lmao
Is pale court mod considered canon?
Ah ok then
Honestly
It looks like dryya taught pv or something
What?
Ogrim is dung defender, right?
Yes
Or white defender
Ik
Defending Isma's corpse
Their moves look so similar tho, maybe except for that sword stroke thing that dryya does
Btw
Why does dung defender say doma?
im pretty sure pale court is a mod and not canon
ITS CANON TO ME OK?
no
yeah well i think the earth is flat
Ok
not the point
What's the point then?
my point is that this is objective, not subjective
the earth is not flat no matter what you say
Ok
WAIT if the pure vessel was truly hollow why wasnt he used instead of the hollow knight?
because the bosses in the pantheons are perfected versions of the og bosses
pure vessel is THK and it isnt pure
It isnt for 2 reasons first dream nailing it shows nothing cuz of the no mind to think part
2 he doesnt roar like most bosses cuz of the no voice to cry suffering
thats really not what PK meant in either of those lines and the first one isnt true
I saw the first in a vid
PV is a dream image of THK, a memory of what they were like before Radiance was sealed within them (which is why PV has no 'voice')
they aren't 2 different characters, they're the same character
its true that "nothing is shown", although not due to a lack of a mind
also yeah, the dream nail is repelled in both fights
not necessarily
the pale king declared that it was his pure vessel
white lady says is was 'tarnished' by an 'idea instilled'
I believe them
Shaw Is The Only Lore We Need
Hegale
ADINO
The hollow knight plan probably would have worked if pale king wasn't such a great dad
Lafanufa needo?
It wouldnāt have.
Well I mean itās kinda obvious
been going on the wiki after completing most of hollow knight and i learned that the traitor's child is a woman???? doomed yuri real???
Yes, doomed Yuri real.
What?
The what is specifically about the end of that
doomed yuri yk it's like a trope that wlw couples are always doomed and end in tragedy one way or another
traitor's child is dead and grey mourner has been
mourning
at least until you do her little flower quest
lol I looked through the wiki and I learned the infection was like the Black Death at first. It then became the reanimation once Thk broke
Isnāt every couple doomed in the end? Nobody is immortal
seriously?? i thought the reanimation part came with it already i need to read more on that
And it also has become a sort of trance thing
Idk
well sure everybody dies no one is excempt to it but it's the tragedy aspect that comes with like a horrible death too soon or they get separated from something out of their control and it's a very common trope with fictional wlw couples earning the term doomed yuri
Maybe the infection changed completely once thk showed cracks
i'd give examples but they're like
Oh ok
major spoilers to other great pieces of media that i would also suggest looking into
(signalis)
Ahhhhh
wait what's the timeline actually
Uh idk lol
because if reanimation came afterwards what was with the traitor lord then
The Traitor Mantises never died.
really? so they're just mad with infection
They willingly took it in to get stronger.
ahhhh is that what makes them traitors ????
Yes.
Ye, Im pretty sure the infection has changed completely from a Black Death to some reanimation/possession thing
man this is crazy i love hollow knight i can now understand why people went crazy waiting 7 years for silksong
We didnāt get any news on it for years at a time.
Yeah HAHAHA i'd lose my mind if i had played hollow knight any earlier
now i get the privilege to enjoy silksong directly after (once im not broke and the game goes on sale)
i was only able to play this just recently because a friend gifted it to me last christmas
was hesitant to open it because i've heard of the difficulty that comes with and i'm an insane achievement hunter
only for me to play this game over the last 2 weeks and now i'm losing my mind over the godhome
but man i love this game
love that the lore isn't really shoved down your throat and you can come to the conclusions yourself through environmental storytelling
like i just noticed that the mantis lords had a 4th chair that has since broken because that one belonged to the traitor lord
it's so cool
i love this game
Why didnt the radiance do a one shot ko and infect tpk
im just sayin this bc its absolute cinema
Soul of Root
Soul of Wyrm
Heart of Void
No cost too great
No mind to think
No will to break
No voice to cry suffering
Born of God and Void
You shall seal the blinding light that plagues their dreams
You are the Vessel
You
are the Hollow Knight
ngl pk wasnt that bad
i liked him before silksong
"Soul of Root
Soul of Wyrm
Heart of Void"
PK did not say ts
You have to let the Radiance in. Itās why people like the Mantises and Hornet arenāt infected.
Bugs with stronger wills take longer to infect it seems
If the Knight couldn't talk, why didn't he just use sign language, is he stupid?
sign language hard to even concieve in a world when not everyone has the hand form
Ill do you one bettet
So why didn't it?
Cause its an undead baby most likely
canonically accurate short king
Whats the topic?
why didnt the knight just use sign language
Probably isnāt a thing in Hallownest.
They dont have fingers
How does he hold his nail then?
I dunno
Why is their bodies just pitch black
Thats just how they look like
If its just the void, why wear clothes
But he is born of void
"He"
It
don't got one
Oh yea, he is heartless
Well for starters it probably didn't know and for seconds that mightn't be a thing
Heart has nothing to do with Gender?
It didn't develop anything
Knight doesn't even have fingers bingus š
foot language
No i mean he is emotionless and diesnt have any will other than defeating the radiance
"Hollow knight"
and
if he didnt have fingers
how did he hold the nial
with the little gathering swarm flies?
His body is sticky
OHH SO THATS WHY HE CAN NEVER TAKE HIS ROBE OFF
thats so smart
How does godhome works lorewise?
I mean you fight the bosses you already killed before are they respawned or something?
they went to sinners road and came back
Godhome basically copies the bosses as you fight them in the waking world
Ok bc it didn't make sense for me at first
is the godseeker on drugs? how can he have pantheons, hall of gods, a whole lifeblood room, radiance all in his dream? does he just not go insane or something?
I dont think dream size means anything
The whole white palace was stored in a kingsmould as well
false
So you are telling me knight x hornet is plausible
are you seriously suggesting an ||incest ship||
Insect incest
but what about the bosses? how does the godseeker know all the bosses, even though it was locked up in a box, i know that he saw hallownest, but how would he know about sly and paintmaster sheo
Maybe he wasnt locked up that long ago
It can feel them
ayo pause?
It can feel the presence of "Gods" in the land with her natural atunement process
Motherfucker how is that remotely weird
sly isnt a god
Yall reaching to make the jokes
Who made zote god
No one? He isnt a god
He made himself
the dream of Bretta that has the shape of Zote is though
But he appears in godhome
YES BRO, ZOTE IS A GOD, GREY PRINCE ZOTE IS A GOD
Eh EO Canonicity is fishy at best
I think they say sth about an intruder
Grey Prince Zote is not Zote
Its a dream of Bretta
"False god"
Thats us bruh
Oh ok
No they do have a will
And they do care about other things
Like Hornet for one
and they do seem to go about to do things
yeah
And battling seemingly
Thats the only reason I can think of why they stuck around in Godhome
Why is it hollow knight then, i thought pure vessel failed cuz he had emotions
They choose to listen to people talk and even partake in fetchme quests
they either like the adoration or battling
It isnt hollow nor a Knight
And THK Failed because the plan itself was flawed to begin with
All Vessels are not Hollow

I personally think a vessel can be truly hollow, but the conditions to maintain it successfully is incredibly hard to pull off
John hollow is hollow
Dont show them hornet?
what

Well yeah TK did I guess

Serrara
Who is tk
The Knight

Well they got it right
Still a Serrara take
Do we have proof?
About what
Him liking hornet
Potato why are you obsessed with incest

All vessels are hollow. Youāre thinking of pure.
But yeah TK Cares about Hornet
^
Idk dude
Winged Nosk shows it
Fair enough
Care and Like can be synonyms no?
I think Id say not in this context
How did the pale king die
Unknown
grief/suicide
yeah
Void probably
those are the main contendors
Or just fades away
No. Not Void.
He sorta just gave up and withered away.
But the queen survived
Idk i think personally the void theory still holds up. Idk really see anything else reasonable that killed him
So? She never gave into the despair
She didnāt give up and wither away.
He literally emits shit loads of light. You know. The thing that repels Void.
Hit us with the theory
Heartless bi-
She is not a heartless bitch
I think it works with his hole stick of trying to control the void, and it being ironically the thing that ended his life
She did have a more objective look to it
But she isn't heartless no
Why did she let pale king die
Again, it physically couldnāt because he emits so much light it literally hurts.
I see
Plus he locked himself away from the entire world
I doubt thats enough to repel the void we see radiance het killed by the void, and she is incredibly shiny
so even if White Lady could do something, she wouldn't be able to get to him
AFTER she was already extremely weakened AND she died to the Entirety of the Void
Idk that doesn't really hold up
She was
- Weakened By the Seals
- Weakened by being locked away so long
and 3. Weakened by the fight with TK
And then The Entire Void came out to kill her
Wrong one
Thatās because she was killed by unified Void. The only Void around when PK died was un-unified Void. And I doubt a simple lumifly lighthouse emitted more light than a fucking God.(Abyss lighthouse.)
Lmao i saw that
Its just not consistent with what we see in the games. If these higher beings really was voidproof why did they fear it, or get killed by it at all
If a knight born of void can beat up radiancw, why cant pale king beat up radiance
When did they fear it?
Imagine pale king and pure vessel fighting together
Because Pale King couldn't really get to The Radiance
