The skin may be installed incorrectly. Try using the "fix skins" button, then switch to "default" and apply, then switch back to the skin you want and apply

Hey, when i try to use custom knight, when i select a skin from the main menu and apply the skin, it loads as default when i load into one of my save files. When i try to fix it by re-applying the skin, it turns into white squares, on re-launch it sets back to default. I tried using multiple skins, and all of them seem to do it, so i know its not my skin causing the problem. I've tried restarting my game, and that didn't fix either problem. I tried fixing my global files, nothing there either. Running on newest patch of hk, and Scarab.

Select the skin you want in the pause menu, with your game loaded. If it is White squares, then

• press "Fix my Skins"
• then change to a different skin, like Default, and select Apply
• then go back to the skin that you want, and select Apply
• when it's done applying the skin, unpause the game.

hey, im on mac sierra 10.12.6 and scarab isn't opening. I have the mac.zip and double clicked it to get scarrab. I allowed it to run in security, but now when i run it the window won't load or open at all, and it shuts down. Do you need to have hollow knight already installed for it to work?(i havent bought the game yet because I want to see if the mod launcher works for me before buying it again for PC)

For each save file, you have some .bak versions

those are your last ~three saves on that file

Ideally before messing with anything, you'll want to copy and paste all of your saves into a new folder

then just change the user#.dat.bak# - > user#.dat to make it your save

No. The Rando 4 menu is the way that it is because Rando 4 offers significantly more options than Rando 3 did.

You can look through each section by selecting "More Randomization Settings"

Generally speaking, modding HK doesn't affect Achievements.
Some people have reported not getting them with mods installed in 1.5 though

Hello! I’m trying to run a multiplayer randomiser with two friends, however we’ve run into some difficulties. HKMP works fine, and they both have the same world (same hashes and everything) but I’ve got a different one. All our settings are exactly the same - checked multiple times - but we have different hash words. Same mods installed, same version of everything but I have a different randomiser to the both of them. Any ideas?

Hello, I am trying to do a multiworld rando with my friend through archipelago, and also use hkmp to see each other, but when I try to host the hkmp server, it sets the ip back to 127.0.0.1, and when I reset it to my IP, even I cant connect to the hkmp server. We have done many normal randos together on hkmp, and it worked so far, even wierder is that it still works in another save just fine, but not in the save with archipelago...

Yes, I did. On my friend's computer it works, the setup is identical.

To manually install mods on 1.5.78.
🔹 Download the mod (it'll be either a dll file or a folder).
🔹 Go to your /Mods folder and create a folder with the name of the mod.
Note: You can use your installer to Open the Mods Folder
🔹 Move the mod file(s) into the newly created folder.
➡️ Run the game.

Weird. If you Verify Game Files in Steam, there's no reason I could think of why just running Scarab afterwards wouldn't work.
Frustrating as it might be, maybe re-download Scarab after the Verification and try with the newer one? Double-checking you've got the right Hollow Knight folder being pointed at by Scarab?

I previously used mods (~6 months ago) using 1.4.3 and the HK Mod Installer. It's my understanding that the intended approach now is to update my game BACK to 1.5 and use Scarab Installer instead. Is there any special steps I need to take to account for the fact that I already had mods installer through Mod Installer? Will any of my mods (or custom skins) carry over, or does every mod need to be reinstalled from scratch?

Iirc Cutscenes aren’t able to be swapped by custom knight as of now, and I believe the game classifies this as a cutscene so there isn’t a way to swap the cutscene

I'm trying to make a hollow knight skin, however 1 frame of my running animation is default even though I've made all the frames for the running animations. There are different versions that I have also completed just to make sure, there's a walk animation, a lantern run animation, a sprint animation and a run animation, I've done every single one but this one frame won't give up.

I'll probably accidently fix it in the long run but I really want it to work now, anyone knows what the problem could be?
