hi! I am completely new to modding, ive downloaded Scarab for Mac a few times but the application will not open, instead stating that "there is no place for the application to run on." Ive attempted extracting the file or throwing it folders but im not sure what to do. Ive seen some suggest to upgrade to Big Sur on Mac but idk.

Does anyone know why my saves folder doesn't have a save file in it? It only has the files Player and AppConfig. If it helps, it's voidheart edition and downloaded from Microsoft Store. The reason I want to know is that all of my progress was made on a MacBook, and now that I want to transfer it, there isn't anything to replace. There is no User1.DAT file on my Windows PC. And no, to my knowledge it's not the incorrect place, i literally copy pasted the commands from this server and again, there's only Player and AppConfig. One interesting thing is that, in the Local/Packages folder, there is a fteam cherry folder which has a file called User.DAT, but replacing it does nothing, putting it into bloodorca does nothing, and it appears I can even delete it without the save in game deleting. I have loaded a game HK, gone through the tutorial and all, sat and a bench and then save and quitted, but still nothing. Putting the file with all my progress into the folder it should be in also does nothing. Anyone can help?

From there you need to find a skin you like

I suggest you look at Fireb0rn's custom knight showcase videos

Once you find one you like download it, unzip it, and drag it into the custom knight folder
You can open it from menu > settings > mods > custom knight and it should show you the open folder option

Restart the game go back to custom knight and apply skin

In theory, yes. In practice, it donks up easily, and doesn't always work.

When you first install ModdingAPI, it's supposed to make a backup of the vanilla Assembly. But for some reason it fails to make that backup a lot, which means it doesn't work when it tries to restore it

So, for some reason, your game isn't saving things where it's supposed to. Normally this only happens when someone has an install from a different vendor. If you have it from Steam, then I'm not sure why your files aren't there.

It's possible I suppose that they're in the Equivalent location on your D drive, but they really shouldn't be.
The only other thing I can think of if it's a family share account or something, which doesn't use files normally

You need to go to Options -> Mods -> Custom Knight. I installed it yesterday and it worked for me.

Yes select the skin you have on your folder you want to use and press apply skin. You also need to make sure everything is in place inside the folder.
